Things changed for me when I started reading the Bible during Covid lockdowns. I’m fortunate that my neighbors are leaders at their Church and have Bible meetings in their home. I’ve been going for a year now and have learned a lot. More than what I learned from CCD. You can find Bible study groups on line that can answer your questions.

Catholics are told that they are born again when they are baptized with water as a child. Even though the Bible says you must be born of the Holy Spirit. There is also the Sacrament of Confirmation (teen years) which is confirming their baptismal vows that were said for them by their Godparents. Most Catholics don’t read the Bible. They rely on Priests to teach them. They must go deeper. I am a born again Catholic. I will never not be Catholic. I do think the Church needs to do better in this area.
