It's weird you say that. I live in the UK and about 2 months ago I heard an air-raid siren going off for about 10 minutes. I thought they'd all gone.

I live in a very rural area, so I assumed it was the military base a few miles down the road testing something (Apache training base).

Italy has lots of places like this, but then they also built small cars to navigate them.
