I was listening to the VA returns on Faux news last night (Sorry, mom likes Faux). I looked up and the ticker said 96% in and a few minutes later, they were back to 94%. Shortly after, they were apparently called out on it and tried to explain it away. Their excuse... they get their numbers from the AP who bases the total voter count on 2017 voter numbers (the last governors race) and they use those numbers to align to votes counted. So instead of looking at the number of registered voters or even votes in 2020, they calculate using old data.

Apparently my use of common sense, thinking that the percentage of votes counted was actually a percentage of votes in, was nonsense.

How in the hell are we supposed to get good information these days if everyone is using the same crap.

Right? The McAuliffe team had to leave to stuff the ballot boxes themselves.

I maintain a Christian worldview and endeavor to follow the word of God. I am in that boat as well. I filed a religious accommodation that was accepted. (My company just wants to check the boxes since we are federal contractors) I held out for as long as I could but they were perparing to post jobs of people who hadn't been jabbed or had a medical or religious accommodation. Like you, I am supporting too many people and can't be out of work. Prayers for you fren.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has tested positive for COVID-19, DHS confirmed on Tuesday – just days after he attended an event with President Biden.

A DHS spokesperson told Fox that contract tracing was underway after Mayorkas tested positive Tuesday morning. 

"Secretary Mayorkas is experiencing only mild congestion; he is fully vaccinated and will isolate and work at home per CDC protocols and medical advice," a DHS spokesperson said. 

The diagnosis comes after Mayorkas attended the 40th Annual National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service at the U.S. Capitol alongside President Biden on Saturday. While it was not clear what sort of contact the two men had, Biden mentioned Mayorkas by name at the event.

Additionally, images from the event show Mayorkas stood close to Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at one point during the outdoor event, without masks.

Mayorkas has been in the spotlight in recent months for the Biden administration’s handling of the crisis at the southern border. More than 200,000 migrants were encountered in July and August -- and the administration has been continuing a limited use of Title 42 public health protections to return migrants due to the risk of COVID-19.

However, the administration has come under fire for releasing migrants into the interior, often without testing for the virus. Chris Magnus, Biden’s pick to lead Customs and Border Protection (CBP), on Tuesday told lawmakers that he was committed to making sure migrants are tested before being released into the U.S.

At least they didn't give you their REAL feelings like my colleague did. He flat out told me that unvaccinated people should not be allowed to use hospital facilities if they get the coof.

FDA: "Just like every vaccine decision we’ve made during this pandemic, our evaluation of data on the use of COVID-19 vaccines in children will not cut any corners,” the FDA assured, urging parents to get vaccinated and wear masks until approval for younger children comes:

"Just like you, we are eager to see our children and grandchildren vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible."

That sounds a lot like they're not going to follow actual science.

So, Circle Back Psaki tries to justify increasing consumer costs by saying we aren't comparing the right time periods. All I know is that a tank of gas cost me just over $20 in 2020 where it's now almost $35.

I got curious and did an item for item comparison of a grocery order I placed in December 2020. The order in 2020 cost $164. Putting the exact same items in my cart now costs $192. Between the $10+ increase in gas per week, and the $30+ increase in food, that's over $2,000 increase per year. That's for a household of two. Imagine the costs for a family of four with two cars. Imagine being on a fixed income or strict budget having to face these increases.

Still waiting for those Biden voters to tell me anything good this administration has done in the 9 months they've been in office.

I pre-order my groceries for pick up. (I hate grocery shopping more than anything) I logged in to the grocery app and reloaded an order from January to see the change in costs from then to now. Same exact order went up more than $50. So Circle Back Psaki can suck it.

Jeez, no need to go postal. I know there's no such thing as a COVID test. Just pointing out the hypocrisy using their "rules".

I am against even having to show a negative test to participate in society but I'd much rather gather with negative testers, "knowing" they're not sick, than with vaxxed people with their smug, false sense of security not even knowing if they're carrying or not.

Thank goodness this isn't anything more than a heavy duty flu and I haven't slowed down my life at all.

I don't personally believe the 10:10 time on the watches means anything in the drops. That time is used in almost all marketing photos of watched because it perfectly frames the brand name of the manufacturers.
