Nah. I'm comparing prices to January prices. The peanut butter crackers I buy were $.99 in january. They were 1.12 mid summer. They are now up to 1.26. Same with Graham crackers. They were $1 on inauguration day and are now up to 1.28. Milk is up $.62 from this time last year. Those are dumb small examples, but those of who manage our families' grocery budgets notice and we know psucki is full of more shit than my 1 year olds nastiest diaper.
I spent $70 to fill up my tank of gas yesterday. The last time I spent over $70 was when Obama was president. I looked and in addition I am spending nearly twice as much on normal groceries than I did two years ago and I'm pretty much buying the same stuff.
After I go grocery shopping, when I get home, I unpack and separate into piles. Fridge, pantry and other (things like toothpaste, etc.) - basically so I am only going into the Fridge once. Those piles are getting smaller and smaller but the bill keeps getting bigger and bigger.
