My whole problem with him since covid was that he also shut down his state. Then he spent 2 years allowing the media to turn him into the "anti-covid" guy and the "next republican."
As far as I saw he never gave credit to the great people of Florida for not complying with covid bs... he just lapped up the media publicity.

Wrong. We would be locked down if patriots in this country would have listened fo the media.
Patiots stood strong even when DeSantis allowed a shutdown in Florida.
It was the people of Florida that fought the lockdowns and it was DeSantis that took the credit.

This is a far more complex discussion than we're giving it credit for.
It's kind of 2 discussions being jammed together.
Firstly I'd like to say that I'm damn proud of not caving to the media pressure and standing tall and maskless and shopping in person at the otherwise empty stores.
Most everyone I know wore the mask and did the curbside thing.
Those of us that fought the covid narrative in our towns and cities don't like it very much when everyone else says "they made me" stay hime and eat take out when we know damn good and well that YOU made YOU.
That being said, it's important to understand the second arm of this discussion: Business owners.
The thing is... whether we were "locked down" and made to stay in our houses or not... the local health departments DEFINITELY, 100%, infringed on the rights of brick and morter business owners.
I don't count the kids being made to stay home as tyranny because the real tyranny is making them go to school in the first place (truancy laws).
Someone in here stayed home during the entire "lockdown" and is downvoting all of us that actually fought the covid narrative.

To be fair... nobody locked me up and kept me home.
I kept on working and was at home depot almost daily during the "lockdowns."
Media said it and people locked themselves up.

I know millenials everywhere with student debt. Ranging from graduated doctors and engineers (lots of debt) to graduates that don't use their degree at all to drop outs that got trade jobs.
Regardless of who we were or our family/ economic background we all had dozens of speakers at our high school that told us we had to go to school.
Never once did a teacher invite a tradesman to class to speak.
Lots of people here don't seem to actually believe e everyone is brainwashed by the institutions.
Typical, really.
You knew the cabal wasn't going to take responsibility for the nation full of brainwashed and penniless student debtors.
Would be nice to reset the lives of so many Americans that have pointless debt because the institutions told them that they "had to go to college to get a good job."
