Agreed, it is predatory and unfortunate that the power company didn't eat the loss, but let's be honest, what large company would when they could pass it on to customers without breaching contract? These people literally signed a contract agreeing to pay the fluctuating real-time cost of energy. Normally that might be a benefit, but in this circumstance it clearly wasn't. This would be a scenario where either government steps in and sets limits on price gouging or takes measures to prevent drastic price increases, or else these people are unfortunately contractually obliged to pay the price, whatever it may be at the time. It's going to be an interesting court case if they have enough participants for the class action, but a very tough sell legally.

Hypothetically, they would spin it as a terrorist attack, 9/11 2.0 and blame it on "white supremacists". Many are too far gone in terms of media indoctrination and blind belief, and those people wouldn't question it.

Yes! Since last April when it became evident that we're being lied to. Bill Gates keeps getting extensive coverage like he's some kind of expert. Who the fuck cares what he thinks? Now, they're pushing the narrative that people can ditch masks once EVERYONE is vaccinated i.e. even if you are vaccinated, you should still wear one until everyone you're around is vaccinated. If the vaccine works at all, then why?! The most recent article even used the phrase "according to Fauci, it could take through the summer to get vaccines into everyone's arms." Fuck off, Gates and Fauci! Many are willing to quite literally die on this hill.
