If Trump expressed doubts about the vaccine it would make it much easier to do that. Trump would have to backpedal and say oh no they’re not that bad. By supporting them, the Democrats would be looking crazy to start telling the truth about the vaccines.

My theory is that a lot of these mandates are to try and goad us into going off with protests and revolution style fighting. This is their only way of totally clamping down, potentially garnering public support for such measures, and getting the military to do their bidding. The only thing that could screw up the plan would be total chaos like that and Trump staying rather silent on it (rather than ignite the flame) is him trying not to get people too worked up (it’s not quite time yet). His cautious approach lately is more proof than anything that there are things happening behind the scenes.
