Watch your fellows. I anticipate the next psyop will be to turn disappointment into anger, as love is closer to hate than to indifference. Their goal will be to kindle enough anger that a small fraction of the people will turn against Trump, and then they will finally be able to put a REAL group of ex-Trump voters on television. Until now, they've had to settle for actors.

Psyops are at play everywhere. Did you think this forum was immune? People have been waiting forever for Trump to announce, and in just one short week the stories on this forum were sufficient to make you and many others disappointed by the very thing you were once waiting for.
That was the point.

Cloudflare was having a major outage. A lot of right-leaning sites have enemies that try to DDOS them, hence they are more likely to contract with Cloudflare, and therefore more likely to be affected by the outage. Here is an archive snapshot of Cloudflare's status page and their terse admission: https://archive.ph/3Edfd

Would you change strategies if your previous strategy had never failed you?

What is the secret to happiness?

Someone once said that happiness is the exercise of vital powers along lines of excellence in a life affording them scope.

In other words, there is something you are great at and passionate about. If you do not do this, you will be unhappy. If you do it, but in a way that is inefficient and cumbersome and thereby end up wasting too much effort for too little effect, you will be unhappy. And if you try do it correctly but are hamstrung by the circumstances of your existence, you will be unhappy.

But if you try to follow your passion and your gifts, taking a direct course that has maximum yield for minimum effort, and are not dealt crushing setbacks by the elements of your life that are beyond your control, you will be happy. At least that is my understanding.

No it isn't. Look at the top of Trump's hair In the upper part of the image. See how it aligns perfectly with the center line of the narrow window strip behind it? Now look at the reflection. His hair now goes just past the top of the same window strip. This shows that the reflection represents a lower vantage point, which is exactly what one would expect from a true reflection. This is the most irrefutable evidence of authenticity, but there is more.

See how the reflection is darker at near the bottom of the frame? This is because, as the angle of reflection with a transparent surface becomes less oblique, the ratio of reflected light to transmitted light falls, so you would be getting more of the area under the table mixed in, which may not even be illuminated.

There is also a ceiling light visible in the reflection that is out of frame in the upper part of the image, which either means that cropping occurred after an edit, or that the reflection is genuine, as supported by the previous two pieces of evidence.

When I was young, I found that generally available IQ tests were inadequate. Every test has a range, and accuracy decreases as you approach either end of that range. If someone tests extremely high on a typical test, they should be given a more difficult test with a higher ceiling to get a meaningful result. Ron Hoeflin made such high-ceiling tests, although they are inherently difficult to norm because the elligible population is vanishingly small.

Decades ago, I was tinkering with Ron Hoeflin's "Mega Test", and though I never sought official scoring, I used it to estimate my IQ (using a 16-point sigma) at around 176 at the time, which has a rarity of about 1 in 1,000,000 people. A few years ago I used Hoeflin's "Titan Test" similarly, and my estimate then was around 172, if I recall correctly, which is about 1 in 300,000 people. The ravages of age have since, I suspect, ruined me. It is harder to concentrate on anything for very long now. My laser-like focus is gone. I feel muddled, and painfully aware of what I have lost.

As for feats of intellect from my past, I will have to keep them to myself. I have a personal policy of not saying anything that could be used to narrow down my identity. They're nothing too impressive though, so you're not missing much. It would be hard to find another person who did so little with so much.

I thought the lack of a downvote button on posts was to make it harder for shill armies to hide posts they don't want seen. Was I wrong?

I only saw it for a moment, in dark theme on mobile, but I thought it looked good. Stickies were yellow and other posts were blue. It changed back to normal before I could load a comment thread to see how that looked.

Perhaps eventually there will be more than two theme choices?

I suspect the original article is this: https://www.defensenews.com/congress/2021/01/19/hasc-scrapped-lloyd-austins-waiver-hearing/

The font, layout, byline, image, and attribution all match, but the text is entirely different. Methinks the screenshot is a hoax. There is a lot of disinformation making the rounds.

That's why I said "double entendre". If only one interpretation were possible, it would be a single entendre.
