OMG, krokodil. I remember when I first heard about that, around 2007 or so. I made the mistake of looking at photos of heavy users.

Even the memory of that still makes me cringe.

It's sad how many people don't know that.

People get too hung up on names that are given to monsters, judging the names guilty just by association. Look at what happened to the name "Adolf".

"Our own "enemy"... I'm not sure what you mean by this. Are you saying Russia is our enemy?

Yeah, obviously we all know what the US and Canada should do. But like I said earlier, I think at this point we're just throwing good money after the bad, figuratively speaking. And literally as well, I suppose. The sunk cost fallacy.

I think plenty of people are tired of trying to get everyone to do what they should do. Sometimes people just want to cut their losses and move on.

I was only half serious in my first post, but the more I think about it, the better it looks.

I'm tired of fighting. I'm tired of being constantly jerked around about how things are set to change any day now. We've been dealing with that for over 7 years.

At this point, I just want to have a decent life. I'll admit it, I want to be selfish. I don't want to waste any more years of my life waiting for everyone else to get their shit together. I want to live in a place that doesn't have all of these issues. I want to live in a place where I'm not constantly surrounded by people who are the exact opposite of me.

And it looks like Russia is the ready-made solution to all of that.

Hell, at this point it looks like the best thing to do is pack on up and move to Russia. We're constantly being told how great Russia is, and what a wonderful leader Putin is. He's even building villages over there just for us.

https://www.businessinsider.in/politics/world/news/russia-is-floating-a-plan-to-build-a-village-for-conservative-americans-who-want-to-move-to-a-christian-country-and-are-tired-of-liberal-ideology-in-the-us/articleshow/100181601.cms

And everyone knows what a dumpster fire the US is. Other than the Second Amendment, can anyone tell me what it is that they love about America? God knows it's not our leaders, our laws, our food, or our fellow Americans. All day, every day I see post after post after post detailing what a shit show the US is.

Does anyone know what the sunk cost fallacy is? I think this is the reason so many people keep trying to slap bandaids on gunshot wounds in the US. Maybe it's time to cut our losses and move on.

Just my opinion, of course.

Sometimes people do further research and find out those types of things.

It's not that hard to do a search on the cop's name and read what comes up.

Obviously, some people want to stoke up some racial animosity. I wonder why. 🤔

Ok, give me an example of someone who has figured out one of these comms and it resulted in anything meaningful. Just one.

I'm sure people "figure them out" all the time, but you ignored the second part of my post where I asked to see anything meaningful that has resulted from "people figuring it out".

What is the purpose of this "simple task"? Just simple entertainment for you? Because that's what it looks like. People spending hours trying to figure out the meaning of a typo, so that they can feel clever and think they know something others don't.

You guys realize that a Republic is a type of democracy, right?

To simplify it:

a democracy is where the people have the right to vote for laws and representatives. As opposed to governments run by absolute monarchs and dictators, where the common person doesn't have such power.

I think some people are confused about this and think the only type of democracy is "direct" democracy, where mob rule reigns. Where everyone has to vote on every law and issue that arises.

This is not the type of democracy that the US is. We are a "representative democracy". We vote to elect representatives (mayors, governors, senators, congressmen, presidents, etc...) to decide on laws and to govern us.

I really don't know where this idea of the US not being a democracy came from. It's something that has popped up only in this past decade. Is it from the younger generation being poorly educated in forms of government and who are now interested in politics? Did it come from some TikToks made by dullards?

Ok. Let's say it was deliberate. What is the point of it?

Seriously, I don't get the obsession people have of picking over all these typos and trying to figure out what they mean. How many hours have been spent trying to figure out "comms" like this, and what has ever actually come from it? Has anyone figured out some secret message that they were able to do anything about it?

If someone can show me where nit-picking over typos has made some sort of obvious difference, please share.

It's going to come down to the Supreme Court deciding if the President is covered in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. The argument has already been made that the President and Vice President are Officers, who are included. It's just a matter of the SC ruling it that way.

That clause is all sorts of fuckled up, language wise. Whoever wrote it was a hack.

We need to remember that the Supreme Court doesn't just look at what the Amendment says verbatim. They take in the intent of what was written. The argument is going to be that obviously the President and Vice President of the US would be barred from running for office again if they participated in an insurrection against the US. Why would they not be? So yeah, the intent of the Amendment is called into question, and the SC is going to have to decide if POTUS and VPOTUS are included. I would be very surprised if they voted against them being included. And I agree with that because I wouldn't want to leave that door open in the future, to another POTUS or VPOTUS that was accused of insurrection.

But I think that the SC will rule that the person needs to be more than just accused of insurrection. They'll need to be charged and found guilty of it for the 14th Amendment to apply to them.

The Capitol is never opened to the general public when a session is taking place.

Anyone visiting also must have a clearance and are restricted in where they can go.

Dude, that's just sad, trying to pretend anyone can just go and do whatever they want in the US Capitol Building, especially when such an important event was taking place.

I really don't agree with this idea that because the doors to the Capitol were open meant that everyone was welcome to go inside.

I'm not going to insult the intelligence of those at the Capitol that day to pretend they didn't know they weren't supposed to be inside that building.

There are plenty of valid arguments to make about J6 without using the "but the doors were open!" argument. That's something children would say.

Because insurance companies aren't paying death benefits if you took an experimental drug?

That was debunked a long time ago. The insurance companies are paying out claims as normal.

You're the one that keeps responding to my posts. If you didn't care about my opinion, you wouldn't have spent all this time interacting with me.

So I'm the insecure one? What is this, a version of "I know you are, but what am I"?

I obviously hit some nerves when I said you got your feelings hurt over where you live and you're venting. The same about being so class conscience. You're the one that brought those things into the chat, so they're obviously important to you.

It doesn't take a palm reader to see these things.

Notice how the conversation shifted when I pointed out your insecurities? That wasn't a coincidence.

But you run on along now and have a good day.
