Sure I know exactly what will be done -> more bad decisions and bastard children probably all paid for at taxpayer expense.

Supporting the 'Urban Population' is a luxury that we as a country love to spend money on. So enjoy it! Realize that you paid for this.

Yes the image is flipped from the original rendering - so those letters would be the correct direction. I'm sure they say something woke and immature

*In their own words… * We believe that architecture is the coming together of art and use, and can bring a sense of grace to life. The greatest buildings are places, which contribute to more than their particular task by elevating and improving the world.

We are deeply moved by the mission of the Obama Foundation and the role the Center can play in empowering that mission. It is a joy, an honor, and a responsibility to create a place that reflects the optimism and integrity of the President and the First Lady. This has been a transformative presidency and we will work to make a Center that embodies and expands the Obamas’ vision. We look forward to collaborating with our partners, Interactive Design Architects, and to working with the South Side community.

We have chosen to work on only a few projects at a time, to allow for intense personal involvement in all aspects of the design and construction of a building. This work should reflect optimism and love. The spiritual aspect of the work will emerge if the work is done well.

We try to work with a thoughtful integrity to make buildings that will last and be loved into the future.

Can you believe how out of touch these phonies are? I bet it was some kind of scam to launder money.

Agreed but she needs to grow her hair out before I would trust her fully

My post about the Obama library did pretty well so I thought I'd expand on the architectural critique a bit. It's really a bad looking building, even in the renderings. In real life it will look 10x worse than even in these renderings, guaranteed.

Totally Agree! I should have retitled it instead of copying the title from youtube

"The structure is both aggressive and bland at the same time, forcing you to notice it through its bad behavior - then daring you to utter a word of dissent.

It presents itself as a hammer, perhaps designed to fall from above and crush small towns and neighborhoods...

I think it's perfect metaphor. "His museum is like his legacy: An Ugly artifact from which we divert our eyes to avoid looking at it too closely, for the closer you examine it the worse it becomes. But for those whose eyes are closed can find no fault with either it's design or execution."

Yeah and redesign the facade so it's totally classical, not modern at all. LOL. then make it a museum to all the founding fathers.
