This is a sad day.
I had no idea he transitioned.
Thanks, for some reason I get the two confused.
Don't tease me. Getting an erection at my age could have disastrous physical side effects.
I have to admit that I read every single comment on this thread and I'm fucking wiped. One thing's for sure...I believe it was Thoreau who once said (or maybe it was Emerson) that "the mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation." My word, my wife and I are of the older generation . Regardless of what comes down the pike, we have learned in the past few years that is being together trumps everything. We don't know what is going to happen, financially, politically or socially, and do not care to offer a prediction. She helped me recover from years of emotional, physical and sexual abuse; this board has helped me become aware and awake. Give me a porch swing, with her by my side, and our dogs asleep at our feet, and I'm good. In this crazy world, that's all that really matters. Thanks.
Interesting thread. It's good that the issue is getting the exposure [and hopefully resolution] it deserves, and that I am old enough to where all the people who did what they did to me when I was a little boy are dead. And boy, they did a lot.
We're getting hit right now. Intense gusts, steady strong wind otherwise. East Tennessee.
The most fascinating of all continents, IMO.
Precedent would be my guess. Makes sense.
The movie series The Omen, Damien: Omen II and The Final Conflict are all terrifying IMO, but still a trip to watch. Omen II was the best in the series.
If I ever saw this driving down the road at night during a storm, I would have a heart attack.
If you really want to ramp it up, there's Cracker Jacks or Fiddle-Faddle. That stuff's addictive 😄
I noticed that too.
Not that I have that many friends anyway, but those around me to whom I would be tempted to direct that toward will simply be ignored. I don't want anything to do with those people who are that pig-headed and stupid.
"Ah Kirk, my old friend. Do you know of the Klingon proverb that revenge is a dish that is best served cold? It is very cold...in space..."
Some good news, finally. Those people are a bunch of fucking freaks, period. There, I said it.
Same question I had.
That's actually a pretty interesting take, and helps somewhat in my interpretation of all these events happening at light speed. Thanks.
I just hope we as patriots don't do anything stupid or allow something stupid to happen. As I posted in the Daily Chat, I perused other sites this morning and the vitriol coming from the Trump-haters is in full bloom, to put it mildly.
Man, perusing other sites this morning and I'll tell you what - the knives are coming out from all the Trump-haters. Holy cow, the vitriol is pretty intense. Weird, because ever since the election, I have never met anyone in person who has/had so much hatred for this man. It's always the online variety. The very fact that they are celebrating this is distressing and heartbreaking. It is even being said that Trump was "shocked" and "downtrodden."
To do what he has done for this country and to take the monumental amount of crap he has, only to be treated this way, is so far beyond the pale I can't think of any other way to describe it.
Excellent point.
Even though I am apprehensive, I have to admit I'm a bit excited myself.
Thanks, Brent. I needed that. o7
It's never fun watching a spectacle of this nature play out, regardless of the outcome.
