His White House assistant is on the witness list as it the Trump accounts payable manager.

I don't think they are going to testify to how they checks went down.

The article does not say Smartmatic paid anything.

In fact, the hints are that they did not.

Hi,

The article does not say Smartmatic paid any money.

What are you basing the "coughs up hush money" from?

Michael Cohen was convicted of multiple crimes.

In two separate cases. This conviction came first.

DOJ press release

https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/michael-cohen-pleads-guilty-manhattan-federal-court-eight-counts-including-criminal-tax

Guilty plea https://www.justice.gov/media/965926/

The perjury was not about the Stormy Daniels case

These three charges were about the Stormy Daniels case.

  • Making false statements to a federally insured bank
  • Causing an unlawful corporate contribution
  • Making an excessive campaign contribution

Civil courts are still functioning.

You might be right.

People have said there's a glaring error on the signature page in the new filing.

The wrong insurance company is listed.

He wanted to delay the trial while he went to the funeral, but it was civil trial and he was not required to be in the courtroom. So he was able to go to the funeral, while his lawyers were in court.

This is a criminal trial and he is required to be there. The one thing that did get turned down was that Trump wanted to go the Supreme Court for a hearing next week, but the client never needs to go to Supreme Court as you are not arguing the facts of the case, instead your lawyers are making legal arguments.

it's already scheduled for evening.

I know that this was obviously coordinated as today's talking point, but this is a nothing burger. the Judge is not "preventing" him from going to this graduation.

He just said he would rule on those things later.

He just said he would rule later on the graduation. One of the lawyers also has a June graduation for his kid.

What are you talking about?

Trump was arrested in GA and all the defendants were allowed to post bond

The Judge did rule Trump will have to be in court in NYC next week, when there is a Supreme Court hearing on presidential immunity

It's called a Parker Warning. It's a standard warning given to defendants in a criminal trial

https://www.nycourts.gov/judges/cji/8-Colloquies/Admonition-Parker.docx

TRUMP IS BEING READ HIS PARKER WARNING: MERCHAN: You have the right to be present during the trial and to assist your attorneys….do you understand? TRUMP: “Yes." MERCHAN: If you disrupt the proceedings, you can be excluded from the courtroom and committed to jail based on your conduct and the trial will continue on in your absence…do you understand? TRUMP: “I do.” MERCHAN: If you do not show up there will be an arrest...do you understand? TRUMP: "I do."

Posobiec is lying.

The judge did say Trump would be arrested if he doesn't show up in court.

This is a standard warning read to all defendants this is a criminal trial.

They later talked about the calendar and the schedule and Trump asked for Baron's graduation off. A lawyer asked for his kid's graduation off.

The judge basically said he would take that up later. If things move quickly. The trial might be over by then.

Probably not, but there's still plenty of time to discuss this later

This guy is very good to follow if you want to find out exactly what's going on inside a New York court. He types super fast so he gives a really detailed live update of trials. https://twitter.com/innercitypress/status/1779875870594810330?t=gC_wp3N0PGvIUFsLQbOF0Q&s=19

Judge Merchan: Regarding May 17, the request to allow Defendant Trump to attend a graduation, I cannot rule at this time. It depends if we are running on schedule...

She was paid $150,000 for her story by the National Enquirer.

David Pecker will be a witness in this case. He testified against Michael Cohen at his trial.
