Have you heard the stories about using sugar to trap monkeys? Hunters put sugar in holes small enough for monkeys to reach into. Since the monkeys are too greedy and want to grab as much sugar as possible, their fist is too big to pull out. Even when the hunters show up they refuse to drop the sugar and run.

This reminded me of an article I read about people who wear contacts and how over time they too can experience something similar. In the article they talked about these two twins, one wore glasses and the other contacts. Years later, one had droopy eyelids while the other didn't.
