“And I soon found one of the games [was] trying to tell me to go into one of the men’s cells. And I’m like, ‘I’m not going in that cell.’ And then the other guard said something in Russian and shook his hand and then they take me to the women’s side. And I was just, like, ‘See, it’s a game,' you know?”
Griner was jailed after Russian authorities found vape cartridges in her luggage at the Moscow airport. (This leads me to think the website is really biased, because she was caught with cannabis oil cartridges).
In April I was looking for return flights from Dubai to SW USA to visit relatives. United gave a price of $11,924 (on Turkish Airways and United), while Emirates was only about $3,000. Emirates happens to be double other airlines.
I asked Brave Search:
per the rules of congress how long can a congressman be in a coma or medically incapacitated from doing his job before he gets replaced?
There is no rule, law, or constitutional provision that automatically replaces a member of Congress due to medical incapacitation or coma, regardless of duration. A sitting member can remain in office indefinitely while unable to perform duties unless they voluntarily resign, die, or are expelled by a two-thirds vote of their chamber.
Historical precedents confirm that members have retained their seats despite long-term incapacity. Senator Karl Mundt remained in office for three years after a stroke left him unable to perform duties, and Senator Carter Glass was absent for over four years due to illness without being removed. The only instance of a seat being declared vacant due to incapacity involved Representative Gladys Noon Spellman, who fell into a coma before being sworn in for a new term; her seat was declared vacant because she could not take the oath, not because she was removed during an active term.
Potential mechanisms for removal or replacement are limited and difficult to execute:
Expulsion: Requires a two-thirds majority vote and has historically been used only for misconduct, never for medical reasons.
Mass Incapacitation: In scenarios where many members are incapacitated, Congress might fail to reach a quorum, but no existing rule allows for temporary appointments to fill these gaps without a constitutional amendment.
Vacancy Declaration: Seats are typically only declared vacant upon death, resignation, or failure to qualify (e.g., not showing up for swearing-in), not for ongoing medical conditions during a term.
This sounds like a major loophole. No corporation would tolerate paying an absent worker for 4 years.
18 U.S.C. § 1001 is the primary federal statute criminalizing false statements, concealment of material facts, or the use of false documents in matters within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative, or judicial branches of the U.S. government. It is classified as a felony and generally carries a penalty of up to five years in prison and/or a fine.
Remember when Martha Stewart was convicted? If she kept her mouth shut, she would not have been convicted.
Hussein's testimony should be televised so that we can watch him sweat and piss himself.
