I don't mind Minions but it stopped being good after the 2nd one. I liked the whole "family man" arc with Gru, and the 2nd movie's evil minions were pretty funny. They ended up becoming soulless corporate cash cows after that, and they became annoying.

The world is slowly becoming like Japan, in the matter that the birth rate will eventually be lower than the death rate and the population will stabilize if not drop. Japan is actively attempting to encourage its citizens to bear children because its population is actively decreasing because most things are pretty damn good and nobody wants children.
