I really don't think you actually use it that often to have such a visceral and emotional reaction to this statement.
I have to use this stuff every day all day as its mandated at work. I have several Claude agents that work on 100k loc codebases running at once doing multiple features and bugfixes. 75% of the time it comes out as a great PR better than any jr engi I've seen and it gets accepted and merged into main. another 15% is just a prompting issue that I resolve by updating our toolsets and prompts. when we started maybe we were at a 25% acceptance rate, but as our prompt tooling improved. one thing it never ever does, is hallucinate functions that don't exist. that's a you prompting problem not an llm problem.
so again, I don't think you use it all that much, or you don't know how to use your tool and make it work.
your using llms like you are stuck in 2022 with them and you aren't keeping up with the new toolstacks and chains.
if I compare where my company was in 2025 start and 2026 start. humans aren't going to be writing code anymore in a very very few short years. the same way humans don't write binary, or assembly anymore.
agent mode is really good about not making stuff up and it can use it's own web browser to research.
