Image is a siren/mermaid combo (as explored above), name comes from the first mate in Moby Dick. At worst, I see a playful nod toward the idea that their coffee is so good, you’ll drown trying to get that fix.

Yeah I was a Bernie bro in ‘16 (mainly in opposition to HRC) but have since moved toward toward the liberty-leaning center. Still like Tulsi Gabbard, but overall have more politicians I like on the right, even if we don’t have the same policy priorities. I’m against big federal govt full stop, rly just wanna let states do what they want and see what works! Plus free speech and all that good stuff

Millennial here too. Not even a conservative by nature, I just can’t bear the left’s obsession with big govt and blind trust of institutions/DS. I don’t even see this movement as particularly partisan — if it is, it’s authoritarian v libertarian, not progressive vs conservative — or maybe just sheep vs redpilled. Either way, the left has gone batshit crazy.

Lazy, I guess. I also don’t wanna have to deal with having to time when I actually go to a store to buy and sell at ideal times/rates.

I like silver more than gold, just cuz it’s relative price is way down and there’s been lots of chatter about a silver squeeze. Was too late to get physical, but I have PSLV which is physically backed at least, and even more between silver miners AG/PAAS bc any shortage would make mining insanely valuable

Forgot Doge, my friend ;) but yeah my portfolio is mostly silver, crypto, and some inverses (which I try to swing trade rather than hold at a loss). Some stocks I feel ok potentially holding for 5+ years if I don’t get out in time.

I recommend taking a look at DGLY as well—tactical gear for cops and civilians—went up something like 6X during the Floyd riots, could get real hot if Chauvin gets acquitted. Not to mention already at a low point since the GF riot boom!

As I mentioned, I watch on a free streaming service, so that I spend $0 that the league receives. How is that supporting the league? And which MLB player exactly has called me any of those things?

Thanks, needed a good laugh. That last bit where they start yelling “call 911!” had me clutching my belly!

And unions speak perfectly for those they represent? Not saying our teachers are perfect, for example, but the teacher’s unions are far worse.

Too big of a longtime fan to boycott outright, but I watch games on volokit.com so it’s not like they get any money from me anyway. All this woke bs comes from the league, the players aren’t as dumb as you might expect. Better than actors, anyway.

What’s most upsetting to me is the way that this (and other related articles) emphasize that the issue is that he was beheaded for a lie... as if it would’ve been okay had it been truthful? How about we condemn the ideology that makes someone think this is okay? (And the girl/father too, obviously.)

I’m split between doge and silver, so carrying about 15% of my portfolio in each. Another 15% in UVXY, maybe 10% misc inverses & DGLY (tactical gear—rockets up during civil unrest), and other 40% in regular stocks so I don’t get hammered too hard waiting for a crash. So far I’m treading water, which is all I’m looking for for now.

Yeah I’m Jewish and even other less observant/Orthodox Jews like me joke about how annoying Hasidic ppl are on flights, it’s a known punchline at this point. When I went to Israel I remember one speaker started out by jokingly asking us if our El Al flight had made us anti-Semitic yet lol

(That said, masks are dumb, but Hasidim are notoriously bad flight passengers even pre-COVID)

As someone from LA, my gut tells me that 50%+ of the ppl I grew up around will be in that group. That said, such ‘coastal elites’ are but a tiny minority of the country. So can see 4-6% coming true... just 40-60% of my old social circle ?

I believe so. Our whole involvement in Syria under Obama was essentially a proxy war between two competing pipelines: US-Qatar-Turkey vs Russia-Syria(Assad) if I remember correctly. (Old memories so could totally be off.) The two planned pipelines literally crossed at Aleppo, couldn’t have been more obvious.

Not defending Dorsey but The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie really is a brilliant novel and he may have just been making good pasta. (The golden threads line is a reference to the novel.)

Clearly this hypothesis is under the presumption that this would be a manipulated weather event, sorry I thought that was clear. (Not saying it is... it’s likely nothing, just explaining what my hypothesis implied.)

It may be in one state, but it’s still a National/federal emergency. Not a state emergency.

gododgers26 7 points ago +8 / -1

Anyone else think it’s not a coincidence that Q posted about a national emergency 2 years ago today, emphasizing F15 (feb 15) twice, and now it’s happening in Texas?

I’m literally here as a fellow autist rooting for the white hats and red-pilling friends, and you’re too much of a bigoted turd to get past the fact that I (and many others) am Jewish and won’t apologize for that.
