Very cool! Usnea is also called Old Man's Beard. It's all over our property and I often find it stuck to my clothing when I've been out in the bush. I'm sure Nature has an answer for everything.

Where we are, the next possible vet visit is in May. He spends a weekend in town attending to as many animals as he can. The waitlist for simple surgeries is already over a year. The nearest city has too few vets and they aren't taking new clients.
