This guy held a security clearance, prob Top Secret. Who was this man’s FBI investigator that performed his background check? When was it last updated? And who is this man’s Security Staff that would have continued to watch over the troops for changes in behavior and actions?
This is the exact reason that security clearances are revoked because undisclosed actions and behaviors like this are ways to compromise and blackmail US troops by foreign agents.
While in he had an obligation to self report his behavior instead of hide it and if he was compromised he then also had the responsibility and obligation to self report the contact(s).
By reason that this probably was not done military security had a reason to investigate. This guy is still drawing retired military pay which he might not be untitled to.
