Well you can doubt it all you want but the US Navy has a ship there as we speak and undoubtedly some submarines as well. And more to my point, it has access to it if it really wants access and a NATO nation borders it as well.
I am extremely well versed in the events in Ukraine, it was a bit of an obsession of mine while it was going on. I think it very much is an annexation because of the 'little green men' invasion of Ukraine to occupy this territory. And yes by all measures it was then Ukraine - even by treaty with Russia - so hostile troops coming in to take territory that had been filled with Russians is an annexation in my mind and is, regardless of terminology, an illegal means of acquiring territory. Let me ask you this - if enough latinos populate Texas is it rightful for Mexico to invade it, occupy it and then hold an election to transfer it into Mexican control? Of course not.
But Crimea is not the only invasion/annexation and all of the others involved zero vote as to the occupieds' will to join Russia. Parts of Moldova, Georgia, Chechnya and, yes, Ukraine. The territorial expansion of Russia is not limited to Crimea and extends to areas without significant Russian population. Belarus will probably eventually be annexed by Putin and Putin has made countless threats against the Baltic nations who would be defenseless without NATO. Then there are all the territorial dispute nonsense going on right now with many other nations and their militarization and expansionism in the Arctic.
None of this means I hate Russia or dislike Russians. I don't view the Russian government as an enemy either. But trusting them is absurdly foolish as they constantly betray the trust of their own neighbors in the worst ways possible. The Russian Empire, Soviet Union and Russian Federation are just slightly different flavors of the exact same Russian imperialism.
I view them as an adversarial nation. I wouldn't call them an enemy but they sure aren't a friend either. They are also still an adversary, and sometimes enemy, to eastern Europe and we shouldn't abandon our allies. They restarted their imperialism against their neighbors after their last empire was dissolved, they have invaded an annexed a number of them after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. And I am confident that at least one of the Baltics would be lost again as well if they weren't in NATO.
As for fascism, I'm talking about the modus operandi of historical fascist takeovers of government. Not about the Holocaust or concentration camps or Gestapo or anything like that. I understand your concern though and it' snot something I would say to a normie.
I still don't think any court can even issue a judgement against a President, let alone have the legal authority to remove them. Regardless of what happened during the election it was still very legally certified. The Vice President himself presided over the final ceremony. So in my opinion, in that specific sense, Joe Biden is legally our President and I think Congress alone has the power to legally remove him. But we all know it won't happen so we need the military to step in at this point. Even if we could agree the courts could legally remove the sitting President we both know they won't actually do it .
I suppose you could make some argument for that, although I would be surprised if military code even includes election lawe as it's not a 1:1 legal system and I would assume there would be jurisdiction issues. Regardless, even with a military conviction they have no legal authority to actually remove a President. That power is given specifically to Congress and the Framers were very careful to limit the authority of the military domestically.
So I think the military needs to make a move. An illegal move, but a just one. If they want to set up a kangaroo court and ignore the justice system, SCOTUS, state courts, US AG and Justice Department that's fine with me. I think they'll have to as well because I see none of those entities going along with this.
Personaly I don't know why Trump doesn't just walk into the White House. We all know it's empty right now and Trump is filming on Castlerock Studios grounds. It would avoid the whole charade with the military.
Agreed, this is all symbolic at this point. Really the Supreme Court has no power at this point. It's up to Congress to remove him as that is the only legal measure by which he can be removed. The military could do it 'illegally' and that is probably what will need to happen.
Legally, the only authority given by the Constitution to remove a President is through Congress. Technically there doesn't even have to be a crime committed let alone a conviction for the impeachment process to start. SCOTUS has ruled time and time again that a sitting President is above the regular court system. It's up to Congress to remove the President or for the President to leave office before the justice system can have any effect.
So I think a little bit of fascism to cure this is going to have to be the answer. We need the military to step up and do their job. They need to abolish the government and install Trump as President. If the courts don't like it Well they need to be gotten rid of too. Martial law for the citizens as well - the Patriots cannot be squeamish about use of force to keep people in line.
I have been silent about all this since election day and particularly since the inauguration. I don't enjoy the feeling that people look at me like a total fool even if I know I'm right. Although I've been dooming a lot myself lately and am honestly at the point where I want the Patriots In Control to put up or shut up. Personally I have had zero personal benefit from trying to red pill people over the past two years so I'm not sure it was ever actually worth the effort.
I understand your point but what I'm saying here is that there are most likely going to be changes coming regardless and I think helping stop guns getting in the hands of crazy people will help stem mass shooting which in turn will help stem even worse gun control methods. These politicians are not stupid and will come up with laws to circumvent the 2nd amendment
I think sane gun control measures are needed. If not what they'll eventually do is just outlaw the sale of ammunition. Outlaw gun stores. Outlaw the sale of gun parts. Outlaw private sales of guns. So that they won't have to go door to door taking guns... they will just kill it off in one slow burn. You can keep your guns and ammo but after multiple generations 95% of it will be unusable and people will have lost interest.
So I think maybe having psychological tests for new gun owners would be a good thing. Maybe make people spend an hour with a trained psychiatrist. Personally I don't think that's such a crazy qualification to add. We make people go through WAY more hoops to drive a car which is a much less dangerous tool.
I don't like this statement In sounds defeatist in regards to Trump re-taking the Presidency.
