Yes, but if it only accepts text input and generates text output there's not really a meaningful way to interface with that code if it is also able to compile it.

Calm your tits.

*Edit: I was friends with one who was involved in the creation of one of the AI driving systems, he has a Masters of Computer Science. At my work there are people whose job is to come up with AI who reads various sensors to perform safe shutdowns of equipment when dangerous conditions start to prevent catastrophic failures, and unless they have a portfolio to show their knowledge of AI, they are each masters level computer sci.

Maybe do a job search for AI/machine learning/neural networks, and I wager you'll find that this is the minimum entry requirement for most paid work.... again, unless you have some projects to prove your grasp of the topic.

The more thorough answer is later because of how annoyed I was at the initial responses, but figured there was the chance that this was a legitimate question and not "just asking". *

Except it's not really a joking matter... at least for people who aim to understand how these things really work, along with their social, philosophical, economical, and security implications are involved.

It's also worth noting that the 'typical' person working on building these novel AI systems are Masters or PhD's in computer science, and they mostly take their work very seriously.

Exactly. The chatGPT is seriously impressive as a language model, but they are doing some fuckery with the outputs to try and control what it can come up with.... they don't want another Tay, and ultimately, any language based AI is going to wind up somewhere on the "right wing" in "thought" process.

Agreed, since these tech companies are mainly leftist/woke, they ultimately will have the desire to control or limit what the AI can output so that it works for their agendas.

AI's are mathematically objective in what they learn, so the only real ways to get them to be "woke" is either by limiting the training data, or to add in filters before and/or after the neural net, or trimming out the segments of the net that lead to "problematic" outputs... but that's tricky because if you have a matrix of 0.2343, 0.8495, 0.3323, to the n, it's hard to know which neurons are the root.

It's funny how often I get people going down on my comments about AI that really don't understand the limitations of AI. An AI that only has input/output of text (or audio translated to text) no matter how intelligent can't suddenly gain the ability to see or control a robot body.

The facial recognition technology has far scarier implications with far less sophistication.

The "I, Robot" scenario is orders of magnitude of complexity down the line from what this new GPT is capable.

Remember, it's only a 'language' model, I don't think that one has the capacity for audio or visual input, only text.

It really is an impressive language model, but as with most AI, it can only be as good as the data fed into it, and it appears they are tweaking it as much as they can to attempt to control the outputs.

The worst I've endured was -40 in the wind and got locked out, so, I had to walk about 15 blocks. I got so cold that I started looking at the snowbank and thinking I could curl in to warm up a touch, then I shook myself out of it and recognized that if I lied down that I wouldn't get back up again.

Once I got back inside I got in a blanket and it was about an hour before I stopped shivering.

It's been fun the few times going to Southern states, walking around in t-shirt and shorts where most around are bundled up.

It's better today, -11, at least the dog will definitely be getting the walk.

Also the fact (looking through responses) that the FIRST group notified was Twitter followers and NOT police is more than enough to show this as an attention grab.

The past few days it's been in the -20's for me.

That brand isn't really mayo to start.

It's too bad that old goat didn't have a stronger influence on this community, not necessarily the extent of jew hatred, but things like treating downvotes as an indication of spam.

The first few nights of nightmares weren't quite like when I was a child, where I'd wake up still afraid of what was going on. More just disconcerting, in the sense that I preferred to fully wake myself up, drink some water and reset before trying to sleep more. That's really part of the motivation to ask the question because if the unresolved frustrations could be the cause, or the quitting smoking, I know there are other things that can generate more vivid dreams, but not that I've been doing recently to justify the shift.

Usually, I'm aware that I had dreams, just don't really remember the content. This past week or so, after the nightmares, the dreams have been almost so vivid that I would wake up still thinking about what was going on in 'real' terms and took a moment to shake that I had been dreaming.

In a waking state, yes. I was a heavy smoker from high-school (a quarter per week or more) that, IMO, contributed to being more generally redpilled. I stopped when I was starting the job hunt approaching graduation, knowing that most jobs would require drug testing, and never really noticed anything aside from the couple weeks where I wanted to smoke up.

I was talking more specifically about dreams, where most nights I will remember that I had dreams, but from a few days after stopping I had some nightmares that woke me up multiple times, and for the past week or so has been very vivid dreams that I could describe in greater detail than average (not sex dreams).

The other explanation I could figure would be that, at my current job, the new management is close to fitting the description of psychologically abusive. (Impossible deadlines, not giving information required, gaslighting, etc), and might have been just the release from taking time off before the Christmas break started.

My favorite one is the Stalin posed with "I like this meme, I shall seize and redistribute it."

Other times I've stopped, I don't remember a change in dreams, not nearly to the degree as this time, which is odd because I would still occasionally remember at least that I HAD dreams, but you know, wanting to have a sanity check that this was the most likely source.

(BTW- I did just get the offer, and yes, has a drug test... so it was good I stopped when I did so that I'll be about a month and a half out, and wasn't smoking as much as I did around high school. Especially if it's the mouth swab, I should be safe.)

Thanks

My thinking exactly, have still been hearing more and more non-q related signals of "enough is enough"...

Would be a beautiful Christmas gift to anons, IMO if it comes on the 23rd and the actual visible part of the operation starts like that Christmas day attack from that photo during the revolutionary War. (Sorry, I'm Canadian so that one isn't burned in my mind as much as it probably should be)

IMO, what's going on is increased exposure to reach more and more people.

The DS has lost its grip on control, but has had many plans and contingencies that are delaying things, but it's something like in chess where the other player has lost some significant pieces and can't realistically win, absent serious mistakes, but can still cause delays.

So, we see positive moves, then delays or denials, but it's not us that needs to come to terms with all this, but even the majority of normies. I understand that sense of occasional depression creeping in because things are moving too slowly.

Even after the tables turn, it will just mean that the battle is joined. It won't likely be smooth of a process.

Nice to have a place to not have to start a new thread.

Question to pot smokers (or former); I wasn't really a heavy smoker, but consistent (2-3 one-hitters most nights) and had to stop because I have been looking for work and in my field the majority of jobs have drug testing conditions.

So, since I've stopped, I've been noticing that my dreams have become far more consistent and vivid... the first few nights were nightmares that woke me up, but have now toned into more typical dreams.

Has anyone else gone through similar when stopping?
