I work in IT, all people are dumb even me.
I was told IT guys can't be Trump supporters.
I work at a VERY LARGE software spot.
If you're Trump supporter a solid target is on your back.
White / Hetereosexual / W Kids / and Trump Supporter? LOATHED.
What's funny is how CONSERVATIVES get the most done at most of these DOT COM type companies - basically by being John Galt and getting what needs to get done - done.
What they just don't get is our very nature means we can't hate any of them. We drag them along even when they don't perform because of that altruism. It sucks not being able to allow non-performers to drag down everyone else.
Long time Scott Adams watcher here.
His whole thing is about persuasion. The point he's trying to make is that confirmation bias and wishful thinking affects humankind in general.
Note that he is VERY anti-Q. He's simply saying, "these people will selectively choose what outrages them (very fine people) but then will turn and point to the theories of the other side (Q) and say "NONSENSE!"
Correct.
His replies can be very much multi-deimensional here - which is he beauty of someone with a mind like his.
Personally, I don't like him much. I do, however, respect his ability to work things provocatively. That's a skill that can lead to discussion and debate instead of solidification in one's side - a rare trait. My Grandpa called it "Calling out absurdity is a talent and the hard part is not letting your personality encroach on what you say."
Like I said. I don't like him yet I can more often than not see his posts as less than useless.
^^^ Exactly this.
Scott is an interesting one. It might have been on TDW (a while ago) where I had an interesting convo about him.
Basically; Scott has a very weird form of logic and reasoning. Because of how he views everything thru his little "persuasion" filter; he could be literally sitting at a table with a fucking real deal, live alien & he'd say "well, is this really an alien or are your eyes persuading your brain that you see an alien?"
He's smart, but weird..... and yes; he's definitely very anti-Q.
Typically people are dumb. A person however is smart.
Scott Adams also said it's inevitable Biden will be in come Jan 20'th yesterday or today on twitter so he's not that smart himself either!
Scott draws very rational conclusions from fake news.
"The ideas are wise and not the people." - Denis Prager
Eric Trump looks half like Baron and half like Don Jr. lol
I come from TDw, first time posting here. The difference here is that those hoaxes are demonstrably false and Q is not, as far as I know. Keep up the high energy.
Welcome. Just switched myself a week ago. Too many doomer shills on TDW and thinking it's only about DJT. It's bigger than him.
Basically same. We need faith and numbers spreading the word. We're all Q, anon.
So glad you came!
Welcome fren.
I haven't been able to take the doom & gloom over at TDW either.
Read up the drops themselves, best possible source.
Trust me; they will NOT make any sense the first time, but bits & pieces will stick in your mind & come together over time.

Wow. Really??
Scott Adams also said he’s 100% sure trump would never sign the IA.
Has it been signed yet?
Not that we know, my point is he doesn’t believe Q at all.
He is pointing out a logical fallacy. If you believe 1, 2 and 3 (things, not people and are real hoaxes), but also believe q people are gullable then your problem isn't hoaxes it's something entirely different.
Allow to break it down, as I see it.
Scott is calling out lefty’s and never trumpers and defending Q.
MAGA does not believe the “fine people” hoax.
MAGA does not believe Trump wants us to drink bleach.
MAGA does not believe Trump collided with Russia.
So he’s clearly addressing lefty’s and never trumpers.
He is saying, if you [lefty’s & NT] believe all those things, but think Q is a hoax, then the problem is “people”. What people? It’s in quotes. He’s referring back to the “fine people”. Who were the “fine people” really in Charlottesville? Mostly lefty’s and never trumpers.
ygtr!
Some people are more «people» than others, then.
Yeah he is saying Q people are gullible as well. how long have we all spent looking into all this shit? There is something to it, idc what he thinks.
Definitely people
Scott is one of the smartest people of our time. Absolute genius
No he is not. Read it again.
He is affirming Q.
He is saying if YOU believed all these stupid theories, but you think Q people are stupid.
Then YOU (people) are dumb.
Cmon man! Scott’s definitely NOT affirming Q here... Scott tries to criticize every side and this tweet is no different
He doesn't have to be affirming Q for the purpose of this: He's saying that the people accusing Q of being gullible when they're falling for hoaxes themselves are a problem, and Don Jr. retweeted it.
He is definitely affirming Q here.
He’s not. He’s always been against Q believers. His statement that Q is not real was one of the first things that let me know he was a fraud. He straight up came out and said Q was fake and he stated it definitively as fact. He didn’t say he didn’t believe or he didn’t agree he straight said it’s a lie with no doubt.
Apparently the person who downvoted you can't read
You're not very good at context.. or reading. Come on, man!
He put "the problem is "people"" in quotes.
He didn't say Q people in quotes. He left those without them.
I think it’s just worded poorly not really sure what he was going for. Saying “but you think Q people are gullible” is the important part to me because that draws the comparison to the earlier stuff which he directly called hoaxes. Didn’t call Q a hoax and uses “but”, which I’m not an English major, BUT is a conjunction which is used to contrast two things.
I read it as the complete opposite. That people believed the MSM narrative on the fake Russian hoax, Bleach etc but thin that the Q people are as mad as a box of frogs!
I've been listening to him off and on since the beginning of November.
His episode 1246 is titled: Why Trump should resign today...
At the same time he has a book from 2017 titled "Win Bigly Persuasion in a World Where Facts Don't Matter"
"Adams was one of the earliest public figures to predict Trump’s win, doing so a week after Nate Silver put Trump’s odds at 2 percent in his FiveThirtyEight.com blog. The mainstream media regarded Trump as a novelty and a sideshow. But Adams recognized in Trump a level of persuasion you only see once in a generation.
Trump triggered massive cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias on both the left and the right. We’re hardwired to respond to emotion, not reason. We might listen to 10 percent of a speech—a hand gesture here, a phrase there—and if the right buttons are pushed, we decide we agree with the speaker and invent reasons to justify that decision after the fact.
The point isn’t whether Trump was right or wrong, good or bad. Win Bigly goes beyond politics to look at persuasion tools that can work in any setting—the same ones Adams saw in Steve Jobs when he invested in Apple decades ago."
I haven't read it, take from this comment what you will.
I read it as a romanticized version of Adams taking a bet on Trump early on. Numerous of his bets have turned wrong, but overall his odds are fairly honorable I would say. Now he can get the good role in saying he "predicted" Trump victory. No. He just placed a bet. Numerous fringe political analysts also betted on Trump at the same time, we just don't hear about them because they are less known than Adams.
My belief is Adams listened to these fringe analysts' arguments and they convinced him enough so that he went public with the idea, adding some of his own genuine take in the process (the "persuasion" thing).
Among his failures, he recently "guaranteed" in early 2020 that the Dems presidential candidate would be a woman. Interestingly enough, nowadays he doesn't talk as much about this losing bet.
They are trying to look somewhat reasonable to the mental cases they pander to. They will be watching his account like a hawk, anything challenging the narrative would be removed within seconds
Didn’t this dude say trump should concede
No, he said he should resign. Not concede.
yep, same thing. he had a few interesting things to say in the immediate aftermath of the election, but he started to annoy me with his so many "100% guaranteed" assertions where are patently wrong.
I'm still on the fence on whether it's some kind of humor/sarcasm on his side, or whether he's genuine in his belief. The former wouldn't surprise me so much given he's openly stated that he views his podcast/videos as a business, therefore he doesn't want to openly verse into Q (and thus be banned).
Yeh I saw this. He said Biden inauguration was inevitable or something earlier on twitter.
After watching the StateFarm ballot theft video, he had the audacity to call it a fake. I shit you not...
This is a good summary of Scott.
I said elsewhere that he's one of those "overeducated" guys, yet lacking in common sense, to an extent, and IMO.
I feel like Scott is the type who could "reason" and "persuade" his way out of just about any situation.
