Hizballah is how it's pronounced in Arabic. The transliteration of Hezbollah is not accurate to begin with, especially with the O because the "allah" part refers to God I believe.
E swapped for I, O swapped for A. Guys, this CANNOT be a simple typo. Look at where these letters are on a keyboard. E and I are far away and O and A are also far away.
Now go to a translator and type in from arabic to English "hezbollah", "hizbollah", "hezballah", and "hizballah". It will give you the same thing: "his party", or more literally, "party of god".
It's also not the first time the State Dept used the other spelling.
??????
Bruh...
I COULD KISS YOU!!!
This is the last thing I going to look at on the internet today. Thank you.

Could be something. Didn't he refer to them as Hezbollah in his speech earlier?
It’s still a very uncommon spelling which could be a signal. Have been reading about Hezbollah for 25 years and never seen it spelled that way.
Made my day!
That's a valid spelling.
"party of god"
