"OF" not "TO"
I hear lazy English; lazy pronunciation of "to" as "ta".
There is no t sound being made... Listen to him say "Peaceful transition o(v) military power"
As a former Speech Language Path, I heard a distinct T in there Tah
You're shit at listening for a speech language path. He clearly said OF
there is no v sound
he said
transitiona military power
could mean to
could mean of
This is the correct answer. What's really happening is that the to/of has instead become a singular schwa sound, which is an unstressed, non-specific vowel sound we use in English (the most common one in fact) that gives emphasis to other parts of the word. Think of e in kitchen or o women. We don't actually pronounce them as e or o. Without schwas English would sound quite robotic, it also makes English quicker and easier to speak.
Unfortunately that doesn't answer whether or not he was trying to say "to" or "of". But thinking about it, when would you need to say "transition of military power"? That's not something you really say. Unless he's saying the inauguration is going to be a show of military strength, on Biden's part, which would be quite the provocative thing to do, even for MSM standards, no? It seems like the logical thing to say is "transition to military power", because transition generally collocates with to, and not of. Someone would only really say transition of military power if they specifically wanted to frame it that way. Otherwise, transition to military power is the natural thing for a native speaker to say.
yep
easier to roll “transition” into “to” because n and t are such similarly formed sounds
of would have had a more pronounced difference between the two words
Peaceful transition t' military power. It's "to", for sure, not sure where that guy's from but I can understand him very easily.
True, but there are a lot of different ones. Anyway, I hear "to" and not "of" at least that's how it it sounds to me here in NYC.
You're shit at hearing then
he has a similar speech pattern as denzel washington. excuse me for saying this, but “some people” use “of” and “to” interchangeably by mistake. i believe he said and means “to”. i also think he’s nervous and lazy/incorrect speech
Intriguing regardless of interpretation. Transfer of military power could be just referring to potus as commander in chief. We will see.
there's no "interpretation" he very clearly said OF
I hear "peaceful transition uh military power". The "uh" sound likely is "of".
that's what I heard too
Went right over Snufaguphalos's head! HAHAHAHA
I was laughing out loud at that too! What a dumbass he is - he didn't even CATCH that!
thats becasue he didn't say it, clearly he said OF, dont push a narrative thats false just because you agree with it, we are not MSM
That's what I thought he said. Not seeking to do harm in any way. I could be wrong though - that most important word of that sentence is not well enunciated by the speaker.
thats becasue he didn't say it, clearly he said OF, dont push a narrative thats false just because you agree with it, we are not MSM
What would be the difference?
The NG is there to SUPPORT local police.
There should be no Military Power Transition (either to or of)
Omg
Omg its nothing -- ftfy
“With a peaceful transition of military power” Still an interesting way to say it.
Important thing to note. He would have just said “peaceful transition of power.” (Period) The fact that he even used peaceful transition (of/to) MILITARY— the word military— is strange. Either a fraudian slip (a la the slurred word before hand) Or It was purposeful. Either way it bodes well for us. If you are on the Q boards you know there are no coincidences. And to dismiss this but talk about 3 year old delta time stamps to an old Q post is extremely hypocritical, oblivious, Or you are just a straight up shill. Lol
I also noticed the slurred word before "MILITARY". Seems like he was used to saying "transition of power" but was instruct_1 to say "transition TO MILITARY power". Slur was an overridden force of habit.
Either way. It’s a transition to military power, or of military power...to the military.
The use of the word Military was odd either way you slice it.
Xactly
"Transfer of Military Power"
To the military... :)
To the New Republic.
dumb fucking larps will kill this site, he said “of” not “to” how are you different from fake news?
Is it "of" or "to"?
Exactly, two different things. Part of me feels this was scripted and he was trying to remember what to say or he's just a bad speaker. From the get go I was surprised to hear him say "uh." The Marines in particular get a good schlonging for this.
that's exactly what i thought that part must've been prepared to leave the door open for both
Is it Lenore or... wtf was the other name?
he said OF
I heard "peaceful transition OF military power"
sweet jesus..........
I just breathed a sigh of relief. Biden can not be in office.
No one mentioned that he's using the same term as Pompeo and Trump, "...peaceful transition..."
If it does say “of”, could that still mean transition from potus no sec def or to sec of state while election is postponed and martial law publicly implemented??
Perhaps he should take the stupid mask off so we can hear him better.
Apart from that, I would expect a 2 star general to speak a little more eloquently than that.
It is "of"
Ho - reee Chit!!!!
Are you sure he is legit? Looks like he slept in that cover.
Yeah its definitely of not to
Nice find!!!!!!!
Went right over dumbass Stephanopouos' head.
Stupinopolous just got punked.
Bada-Bing Bada-BOOM
This dude doesn't know what's going on. He just thinks he is there to protect the inauguration and that's it. Like anyone would let him on air and say that... pssh please. He said "of" because that is what the thinks will happen.
it really could be either of or to. either way it doesnt matter. the result will be the same.
Yepper, sure sounds like it.
Peaceful transition of military power from Trump as commander in chief to Biden.
I'll let you decide was it purposefully or lazy or does it make a difference? https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/163433/is-there-a-difference-between-of-and-to-in-these-cases
"and" here makes no sense.
Pretty sure he said "of"
I’ve got sharp hearing and a pair of $$ Sennheisers.
Absodamnlutely was OF.
Still am not clear what he was talking about tho.
you got downvoted for being right, smh
critical thinking and NOT spreading lies just because we want them to be true is what separates us from the media. keeping tell the truth, always
maybe he said it that way on purpose
You had one fucking job!
