No matter what time or date that it is there is always some activity even when it is minimal, but currently the closest spot with a military transponder switched on is Brazil/Europe and a US Herkie over Okinawa...........
Something is definitively up!!
Welcome to planefagging.
This situation you describe is not, at all, unprecedented.
Possibly, but I usually check air activity a few times a day and I have never seen it this empty, I mean it's not just the US but no activity even CLOSE to the US..... Short of Brazil and what appears to be a low altitude helo(probably coast guard) over FL that just went up(not like they won't do rescue if they have to) the entire continent and surrounding seas is empty...
It's pretty early still
Nah, this is normal. I've been watching this from Down Under where night is day and day is night.
It's only just about day break on the US East Coast right now. AF don't like to fly at night for lack of light, noise restrictions and sleep. They also try not to fly without transponders if they can help it to avoid collisions, but if they want to fly incognito they just will and we'll never be able to confirm it. What would be unusual at night AM is to see any air traffic at all, especially if in numbers of a dozen or more.
Here's a handy website for you to determine what time it is in the US. The time to watch is usually well after 7am ET and before 1am ET.

MH65 Chopper just taking a loop around Miami Beach?
after maybe 3 weeks of many Country's military craft swarming Europe, this weekend has been almost empty,
Be still, my beating heart
Yesterday morning was like that too.
This is what the sky is like from say 1am-7am EST every night. These times are rough estimates based on my observations. Some autust may have better info than me
First time I have seen it, low activity certainly, but not nothing, I usually check flight activity for a minute a few times a day and I'm in a different time-zone so that usually means night/morning/afternoon in the US..
What do you think it could mean ?
There's a couple more up now. A B-752 out of Elgin looks like its headed to DC. An executive jet out of San Antonio. Another jet out of Cherry Point. Looks like the skies are slowly waking up.
A T-6A Texan is buzzing around south Florida now but that's it. I don't look every day but there are always more birds up. Hard to fathom a Texan is the only military aircraft in North America up right now.

There are plenty up now, but what is not showing are the two fighter planes that just went west over our area minutes ago.
