I've been a Christian since I was a kid, but I was very apathetic. Mostly from dealing with some really hard life stuff. I lost my parents unexpectedly in a very traumatic and unimaginable way a few years ago, and I've also been dealing with infertility for ten years. It just wore on me and discouraged me and honestly I became very blaze. This woke me up with a vengeance, and I'm going to church again, I pray multiple times a day, I'm reading the Bible, and listening to worship music. It's been a complete turnaround from apathy to being fired up for Jesus.

I think I’ve learned that knowledge is power. And I’ve used a lot of my time to do research on a variety of topics. I’ve also taken better care of myself physically. Do I have bad days still ? Being stuck inside with the kids. Remote learning. Working. The piles of laundry I still need to fold.. of course. But overall I think it just put things in perspective for me. Got to watch the real evil of this world unfold. And try to find ways to help fight against it. And be ready if needed. I gave up on my faith in god when my very religious grandmother I loved so dearly passed away in 2008. Stopped going to church. Mostly because it reminded me of her singing all the songs or smacking me and my cousins and shushing us with the daily pamphlet for talking or giggling. Oops. But I had even stopped praying. I started praying again. Having faith. So yeah. The pandemic helped me make steps in the right direction for sure.
Became a gardener this year, what a great hobby I never had time for. I also spend more time with my two young kids, it’s a blessing even when they sometimes are crazy.
