Pretty much impossible to do on your own as you would have to force/pull until loss of consciousness with this method(and after that point it is hit and miss in regard to the pressure being sufficiently maintained for long enough to cause death) and very few people have what it takes to do that...
Basically someone has to sit/stand on your lap to ensure that this method works.....

What has stuck in my mind after all these years is that very shortly after, within a week or so, of his death there was a doco aired about this exact thing. It went into a lot of detail about the psychology behind this type of behaviour. Never seen or heard anything about this "syndrome" before or after that doco aired, other than Michael H was apparently "suffering" this uncontrollable mental illness. It was almost like it was produced to coincide with his death & therefore pre planned maybe. Said doco I think was part of a series & was airing before his death.
