Exactly. Coronavirus and influenza are shitty diseases to treat with vaccines because they mutate so fast they outpace the rate of vaccine development, so you end up playing an endless nonsensical game of whack-a-mole, while the vaccine manufacturers get to refresh their intellectual property every year by patenting a new vaccine for a new strain so their product never goes out of patent and they can keep milking people on it.
For diseases like Smallpox, that don't mutate very fast, vaccines worked far more effectively.

I'm completely fine with vaccines that have been tried and tested throughout decades and improved upon for actually very deadly or debilitating diseases and illnesses such as polio, measles, mumps, tuberculosis, diphtheria, etc. But NOT for illnesses that have a 99.97% survival rate, of which I and my family of 6 all had and ALL survived, with no complications and no hospital visits. I was more deathly sick when I got bronchitis for 5 full weeks, of which I had to go to the emergency room 4 times and nearly suffocated to death during my sleep. If there was a vaccine for that I would have taken it, because it truly was deadly for me, but not covid, which felt like nothing more than a bad cold with congestion in my head.

AND they prove it significantly reduces the fatality
AND they prove it significantly reduces transmission of the virus
AND the vaccine makers accept liability for vaccine injury
