There is a serious probability that the grounded Ever Given will need to be unloaded if tugs cannot pull her free.
I wonder what that cargo will be from China? Don't you?
Update: the people trying to move the ship cannot contact the owner. The ship lessor (Evergreen Marine) stated a "Taiwanese owner" according to british msm papers. They also claimed the owner stated it was "high winds" that caused the ship to run aground.
Only thing that makes sense is that it's carrying trafficked children! That would be the shot heard around the world!
A nuke would be a pretty big wake up call. (Got this idea from another thread btw.)
They are SISTER CITIES. I think since 2015.
CHECK this thread . . . .

If a ship misses their appointed time to cross the Suez, they pay $1M per day until they cross. This includes mishaps like Ever Given. Evergreen will be charged by the companies who have missed their deadline. I sense Evergreen will end up claiming bankruptcy soon as a a result.
When I worked at Sears they used a system from the 90s that let you change the end date of each trailer (love DOS).
Boss avoided so much demurrage, shippers were pissed.
Nice!
Couldn’t happen to a better company
Rip it open now . They've got victims of human trafficking in there . Prove us wrong!
For sure they are not going to inspect the containers. Their focus will be to get that canal unblocked and moving again. They aren't going to give a fook what is in the containers - they just want them out of the canal.
Isn't each container weighed? that would be a big tell if there are people or steel inside the container. Wouldn't the manifest show that? Idk. Guessing.
Chances are against it..
"the international liner shipping industry transported approximately 130 million containers packed with cargo, with an estimated value of more than $4 trillion."

Just because some people have been shipped in containers, and there is no doubt of that, it doesn't mean every container ship is carrying contraband.
Anyone familiar with The Wire? Season 2 will tell you what's in those containers.
Everyone should be familiar with The Wire, seasons 1 through 5. Best show to ever grace television. Pre-emptive "Yeah, I watched Breaking Bad too" goes here.
Its been moved aside so ships can pass as of this a.m. est Hopefully still has to unload.
I thought the theory was that Evergreen was under US control and it was blocking a bad actor ship that was behind it.
A theory. Not THE theory.

It was on its way to Rotterdam. I know it’s a major hub and is used by all sorts of business to transport and traffic.

This happened the same day! The last incident in the Suez was 2018.

I keep wondering if the callsign is code to the inspectors et all to look the other way when this thing comes through.
Its Taiwanese I believe.
wonder what they will find
yeah but if all the spotters are hearing banging on the container walls they may open some up
That's why they bind they victims, so they they can't bang on the side.
I think it could either be children or missiles. https://imgur.com/a/c27nrHM
Looks like it’s on the move now?!
No just moved out of the way i think. Still was aground this afternoon.
Surely there has to be live footage from cameras at the port or somewhere in this canal area. Right?
Ummm its 120 miles long the suez canal....
Thank you fren. Did not know that. Obviously not in tune with this type of thing. Same token- how far apart are these huge carriers? I would think they space them out decently but also in a very timely/precise fashion. I.e. every .5 miles a carrier is allowed to enter the canal. So wondering if the carrier behind is taking pics/videos ?
The stills we have are mostly from other nearby ships, or ground crew trying to free it from the beaching that has occurred.
Not sure on min distances but there is a LOT of backed up shipping...
