I have a feeling this means America is returning.

Hope they start feeding on the swamp rats
Fun fact: Bald eagles are not actually bald; the name derives from an older meaning of the word, "white headed."
The bald eagle derives its name from the word "piebald" in reference to the contrast of its white head and tail with dark body.
...let's keep this to ourselves, otherwise the whackadoos will try to change the narne to "Ledge Eagle" ..Ledge derived from the word privileged, meaning white supremacist. /s
Yes!!! I saw TWO soaring through the sky last week.
I've been seeing them everywhere as well. It's beyond incredible
We have a nesting pair right here in the world's most ethnically diverse county.
There was a woman who had a youtube account named 'pam aus' who lived in a small town in alaska where bald eagles just chilled on the railing of her house outside her kitchen. Getting along fine with her, her cats, and the other wildlife like foxes.

Some of her videos went viral due to the wholesomeness and she got a lot of subs, and then her entire channel was deleted with no strikes, warnings, chances to appeal, or anything else. And youtube have always refused to say why.
My view is it was an attempt to crush a beautiful and uplifting thing that helped raise the american spirit - community, comments etc were all very supportive and appreciative, and I guess the scum at youtube just couldn't stand it.
So with those negatives aside, its wonderful to hear the eagles are doing well.
How do they estimate the numbers?
They probably count nests. Bald Eagles use the same nest year after year.
We have a healthy group of bald eagles here in Louisiana now also. They are sooo awe inspiring and majestic.
We have a ton now in Iowa, back in the late 70's It was a very rare occasion to see one.
My wife and I was standing in the parking lot at my veterinarians office few weeks ago and had one fly about 50 feet overhead. Afterwards, I have been looking for him again and I found his nest in the woods a few hundred yards from the road, it is enormous. I am in southeast Michigan. There is a metropark near by, I heard there were a few pairs living there as well, cant confirm.
I see them all the time in Livingston County near the Brighton recreation area.
That in spite of all the stupid wind turbines
Well that helps explain why I saw the first bald eagle I’ve ever seen up in Tahoe this fall. I don’t recall seeing another anywhere in the basin in decades.
In contrast, they’re almost comically common up here in WA State. ?
?❤️??
https://www.govictory.com/ Flash Point March 23, 2021 The episode with Dog, Hank Kuneman spoke a prophecy, it mentioned birds, including the Bald Eagle. Seeing them in places that was not normal.
Southern Michigan now too...mating pair a few miles away. During the winter you can see the bloody carcasses of a duck on the frozen lakes.
We are lucky to have some in our area here in FL. It wasn't uncommon for me to go feed the horses and see one in the slash (because they used to slash them to get sap to make turpentine) pines next to the pasture. They seem to have moved elsewhere in the neighborhood since we lost a lot of the big trees due to the recent hurricanes but I'll still hear/see them occasionally.
One night I was repairing our roof and looked at our neighbor's dead pine and saw 5 of them! Got a picture and will never forget that!
I'm curious if their decline was actually tied to getting rid of DDT or not. Did anyone dig into DDT and/or know the answer? I'm assuming it was another lie to enable depopulation in Africa/South America?
That sounds awesome! If you can find and upload the pic I'd love to see it. Beautiful, powerful creatures.
I thought that last bald eagle was on the last chunk of ice floating out to sea with the last polar bear?
They are so majestic!
They have learned to stay away from those wind turbines.
Their population has blown up in the northern midwest. I love seeing them fly along the river and catching fish. Beautiful feathered freedom ??????
Wow, good post I have scene at least 4 in our area which is not a normal thing. Praise God....
yeeeah boiiii
I have to say, I see them more and more often. Yesterday, had one alight at the top of a tree maybe 120 ft away. Every time I see one I am simply in awe.
I swear one of the days shortly after election I was down in the dumps going about my business and a bald eagle flew overhead plain as day. Perked me up right quick.
I know exactly what you mean. I had a similar experience the other day and it made me feel great.
I still cannot understand why they're called bald eagles ; they obviously still have feathers on their heads, even though the feathers are short in that area.
