I have often thought that what if the one time I was not armed was that one time that I needed to be, and how much that would tick me off. Like last night I was taking the garbage down to the street, and this entered my mind as I strapped on my weapon.
Got something funny to tell you. The other day I had dentist appointment. I put on a pair of pants, and long-sleeved shirt that I tucked in, so I was wearing my gun on the outside, in plain sight. I planned to leave it in my truck at while at dentist office.
On the way to dentist, I backed into this other car. It was a stupid accident, and totally my fault. The man in the other car was very nice. He even said, lets just exchange information, no need to call cops. When I drove away I keep thinking how nice and agreeable he was about it all. I did not realize until I got out of truck at dentist office that I was wearing my gun in plain sight, and I kind of chuckled wondering if this had anything to do with his being so nice and agreeable.

Sorry for saying this over and over (in other posts), but our right to bear arms is not granted to us in the second amendment. The right to bear arms is a natural right, inalienable, endowed by our creator. The second amendment is a protection of that natural right. ... the (natural) right to bear arms must not be INFRINGED. Just like the first amendment is not the right to free speech. Again, the right to free speech is a natural right. The first amendment says the government must not pass any laws which abridge our (natural) right to free speech.
We don't get our rights from government. That's a great thing. I'm sure many in government would love for us to believe we do get our rights from government.
If you're going to "extra-legally" carry a gun, go for concealed carry. If the cops can't see it, they can't stop you for carrying a gun. 4th Amendment may or may not help you when your 2A rights are put on trial. And Karen's can't complain about what they can't see.
If you live in a state or an area where open carry is protected, take advantage of that. The more people see others carrying guns, the more comfortable they will be with it. Plus, if you get caught open carrying where you are not supposed to, you'd be surprised how far you can go before someone says something,
