British imposed new taxes on things. (Bidens new tax plans?)
Had an increased military presence (locally? or nationally?)
Were marching to concord to seize weapons cache. (2nd amendment changes?)
Patriots attacked the British and drove them back to Boston. "the shot heard around the world" (was this the beginning of the revolution?)
I literally haven’t allowed my iPhone to update since Christmas when I read in a few places that we may be getting EBS alerts, and Lin Wood warned that Apple intended to provide an update to block receipt of said EBS.
I refused to update after that too. Cellular internet quit working on my phone shortly after, I restarted it and got the setup screen that comes up after an update.. Absolutely pissed. Got a new phone and flashed grapheneos to it. Done with big tech.
I’ve been sticking it to Big Tech since all the crap last year; got all my accounts deleted. Keeping my phone for now just because it was $1200 and I’ve only had it a year or two now. My next phone is not gonna support Big Tech though, I’m sick of censorship and them trying to control me
I think it does exist still in some way. Every week on the TV there’s a test alert that reminds me of some kind of EBS. They have to be able to communicate with us in an emergency
But there is an emergency communication system in existence, right? If so that’s all I’m trying to say.. I will not allow my phone to update as long as there’s a chance we can receive it and as long as my phone company is looking to prevent said system from alerting me. I don’t care whether it’s called EBS or EAS lol.
We all have strengths and weaknesses. I don't fault anyone for a weakness as trivial as tech ignorance. I'm personally, shockingly ignorant of modern telephony tech, and occasionally embarrassed myself by how newb I am in regards to cell phones.
CD's/DVD's(who doesn't have a stack of blank ones that never got used from way back in the day, old USB sticks and memory cards too small/old to be of much current use, all of them are great for offline backups...
Although if you leave a card/stick plugged into your computer when you go online it is about as secure as your computer is(although I speak from the viewpoint of a desktop as it really is the only way to compute...)
Maybe Facebook (Follow Bolton = FB) is going to be attacked and non-backed up info will be lost? Then, their stock will plummet (The [wall] streets will not be safe for them)?

There's no way in hell you're not going to find out about THE MESSAGE if it comes over EAS.
There's a good chance the internet will still be up, in which case you'll DEFINITELY read about it here and elsewhere.
If the internet IS down, plenty of people have non-iOS phones. They'll be freaking the fuck out and no one will be able to talk about anything else.
If all else fails, and it IS habbening, it will be such an extreme situation that Team Q will have made contingency plans to get the word out.
