Seems a bit overthought IMO. I just go in maskless and nobody says shit. If they were to say something (which no one has), I am prepared to leave and not shop there again.
I say "I've got a medical exemption...I'm allergic to bullshit!" I keep walking and ignore anything said to me after. Hasn't failed me yet. 99% of the time, nobody says a word.
Where I am the mask mandate is a “health directive” (not a law) that states exemption can be made where lawful. Since it’s not a law just a directive all exemptions are lawful. Am yet to have to use this.
I've often told friends and family that we're lucky we live in Texas, where for the most part deranged people aren't in our faces screaming at us when we say no to the mask. I've said anything from no thank you, I'm exempt, I have a medical condition, to I'm eating (as I walked into Sally's Beauty Supply one day eating left over hamburger helper from home in a styrofoam bowl) and then when I'm in a mood, like last night walking into a restaurant, just plain I CAN NOT DO THAT. In over a year I've only had to leave 2 places, both of my own accord.
You got that right. He takes one step forward and 2 steps back and tbh I don't see him getting reelected if someone decent runs against him in the primary. When he came out against Gab that was an example of one of the 2 steps back, I sent him an email telling him that going the way of McCain & Romney & the like to try and be less hated by the left & be a MSM darling for 5 min would never be forgotten by voters and never get him reelected. He's probably better than some other governors simply because the people of Texas demand it.
I’ve had to do one leave and not shop there again (independent grocer only one near me, really disappointing!!!!) other than that nobody says anything.
OTOH, by refusing your entrance they are proving to be unwise stewards of the business by losing their customer base. It is truly something when trickle down tyranny makes small business owners insane..
How 'bout, "I'm a devote constitutional conservative and I don't wear underware either!"
LOL, that's what my husband told the old ladies at the grocery store when they tried their shame-game on not wearing a mask.
It worked!
Just stop ducking giving them money - holy shit - you want to give them money so bad that you’d go through all the obstacles in order to frivolously sue them?
The girl at the local gas station this week asked me to think of my mask.
My answer: I most certainly will not, thank you very much.
She: Why not?
I: It is because I AM an exception.
She: I am not going to argue with you. I have had it with these masks.
I: Well, then live accordingly. Why do you hurt yourself by allowing this cognitive dissonance to fester?
She: I shouldn't. But, every Sunday I go to Vondelpark and protest.
I was glad to hear that. I complimented her and said to never back down, and not submit. And said that if she wanted freedom, all she has to do is live it. And that she is not alone.
Slowly but surely, the resistance is shaping up. Vive la Resistance! (this is a wink to V for Vendetta, and a certain lawyer who texted it in relation to framing Donald Trump. Indeed we are better at playing that game.
I used religion as a valid reason to not get a Covid test for work, which resulted in a 6 week saga. Dog cunts wound up dropping everything after I threatened legal action, and then I resigned.
Genuinely thought it would be as simple as saying no thank you I will not be doing the test on religious ground. I was gobsmacked.
Refused a Covid test on religious grounds and went through 6 months of bullshit! Could have gone the litigation side but I wanted out. HUGE global resources company, very strange individual location, very top heavy and the top all knew each other personally kind of vibe.
It was mostly a joke but my mom has said the same thing “private business” however I do believe there are too many that they can’t afford to deny us all. I’ve gone into small businesses here in my county who never had it and never will. A bike shop, antique stores, etc. Big stores, Target, Home Depot, Hyvee, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, QT...they don’t pay them enough to fight with people and most employees don’t wear them any way. I don’t think there are enough “Karen’s”. They took a poll in my sons HS, 70% of the kids were against them, makes me think parents might be too. I’ve got hope in the people again. We just need to set the example and be brave.
My religion tells me I am not given a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love, and self control. It’s against my religion to succumb to fear and wear something I know to be ineffective.
2 Corinthians 3. It is talking about how Moses had to wear a veil after being with the Lord because his face was bright. Then in Matthew 17, in the Transfiguration, it says Jesus’ face shown like the sun. This will help put context into 2 Cor 3 regarding why we with UNVEILED FACES reflect the glory of the Lord. Masks are from Satan because they cause a stumbling block. Matthew 16– Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get behind me Satan, you are a stumbling block for you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Then he goes on to say that if you wish to save your life, you will lose it, and if you wish to lose your life for Him, you will find it.
Also, Galatians 5– It is for FREEDOM that Christ set us free so do not let yourselves become slaves.
Also read Colossians.
There are lots of verses to prove that we are not to wear masks or veils or to submit to these ridiculous satanic rules.
Seems a bit overthought IMO. I just go in maskless and nobody says shit. If they were to say something (which no one has), I am prepared to leave and not shop there again.
I just tell people I'm exempt from wearing a mask if they challenge me.
No-one has asked for any other info. If they did, I might consider telling them Inhave chronic CS (Commn Sense)
I tell'um I have leprosy and a mask makes my flesh rot.
It'l work if ya offer to let'um smell it!

That's what PA's mandate says but there are companies here that are complete nazis about wearing masks. My solution is not to shop there; ever.
Ha we’ll see about that.
As soon as they get rid of the filibuster then packing the Supreme Court will begin full speed ahead.
Once the court is packed, Katy bar the door. Religious freedom will take a back seat to “public health”.

Well that makes one of us, lol

I'm just going to say that I'm a converted Muslim and see what they say to that.
Emphasizing the ?
Yes this is true
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome..?
My priest told my husband and I that it was our duty to protest getting the vaccine unless we absolutely had to have it.
I like your idea. I'll try it out sometime instead of "medical exemption".
Which has happened to me! Called him a nazi nice and loud. I'll never go back.
I wish I had tried the religious exemption now. I bet he still would have come up with something...
Same issue. Private business. There is no law requiring them to enforce. It just says they’re a nazi company. Trust me, I work for one.
I agree, hopefully there are some plaintiff lawyers out there willing to take the cases.
OTOH, by refusing your entrance they are proving to be unwise stewards of the business by losing their customer base. It is truly something when trickle down tyranny makes small business owners insane..
EXACTLY.
Open to the public means all public
Oh I hear ya!
I said that and the guy told me he was calling the cops to have us removed for trespassing.
It's a very lefty town. The police here are as bad as the Marxists who run the local shops.
You said that MUCH better than I could have. On the nose.

Guys, STOP GIVING THEM MONEY!!!
Good one.

Actually, you can make this work as a Catholic, refusing the vaccine...
The vaccine is derived from aborted fetal tissue.
Refuse on the grounds that it violates your religious beliefs because of what is in the vaccine.

I think I’ll just say it’s invisible, it’s as effective as yours but much more comfortable.

If they ask you to wear a mask, just tell em that you don't believe in animal cruelty....
When they ask what you mean, politely say 'FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKIN SHEEP, BAAAAAAAAAAAAA'
Tell them it's against your parole conditions to wear a mask. They won't say another word.
I'm a man who thinks he's a woman and I'm not vaccinated but think I am. If one statement is wrong then both must be, or neither must be.
I just identify as masked, but don’t wear one.
My religion tells me I am not given a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love, and self control. It’s against my religion to succumb to fear and wear something I know to be ineffective.
You'd better be willing to shell out cash to take it to court. Businesses don't give a shit about things like ADA or religious liberty.
If we're talking on a scale of millions or some class action suit, perhaps. But there has to be the will to do that. Personally, I don't see it.
Given that the ADA already told me to take a hike, one might as well try this.
“I have a colostomy”
"I have a disability"
I have a very sickening feeling that masks are here to stay. Look at all the companies that are profiting from it. Very sad.
