This was back on Good Friday (haven't had time until now to post my experience), to buy food for Easter Sunday. I sat in my car before I went in, determined not to wear a mask again, said a prayer to God asking for strength, and for St. Michael the Archangel to defend me against the "mask Nazis and any demons inside these people." I'm just a young woman so of course I was scared of getting harassed and even physically pushed around for not wearing a mask. I told myself "Hold your head high, don't look down, don't appear meek and timid, stay strong, hold your ground..."
I walked in and immediately was greeted by a worker. He wore a mask but he said "Hello" very cheerfully. I was a little taken aback that he said anything to me so I quickly said "Hi" and walked on. Came across A LOT of workers in there (more than usual, they were restocking), all wearing masks and NONE said anything to me about putting on a mask; rather, they were all VERY cheerful and VERY nice. Nicer than when I USED to wear a mask. I smiled at every opportunity, but my legs and shoulders were shaking in fear. I was terrified either a worker or some mask-Nazi-Karen would stop and accost me, but not even other customers seemed to care. I was the only one not wearing a mask.
I got to the checkout and was expecting the cashier to say something about me not wearing a mask, but she was EXTREMELY polite and VERY cheery. I smiled a lot! I think that helped! We happily talked about Easter and the nice weather, etc. And she was so nice to me without my mask that I knew right then that not wearing a mask, people being able to see your face, see your smile, makes them INSTANTLY connect with you and like you (except for mask-Nazis of course, but I'm speaking of generally normal people). I left and heaved a sigh of relief and thanked God that I got out of there without problems.
My next place to experiment this will be Walmart, but I've already seen people walk in and around the store without masks and nobody says anything to them, so I have high hopes for that. I'll post my experience the next time I go there.
TLDR: Didn't wear a mask into grocery store, the workers were SUPER nice to me and didn't say anything about wearing a mask! Have hope! If you try this at your grocery store, smile a lot, it really helps!
My experience is that other people who aren't wearing a mask are relieved to see me when I am not wearing one. Even those who are wearing masks seem to be relieved... like they can take theirs off now too.
I think everyone is looking for permission. They want something or someone to be the catalyst that makes not wearing a mask "OK". The more of us that do it... the more other people will join in.
Incidentally... I wear my mask on my wrist or elbow. That way, if anyone says anything, technically I'm "wearing a mask". :>)
Yes! I have to wear a mask while working but I love when customers don’t! I feel like they’re speaking for me when I can’t in the moment.
Haha i do IT upgrades on operational buildings, and I’ve gotten entire warehouses full of people to ditch their masks cause I won’t wear them ??♂️
They’ll see me riding about without a mask, realize no higher-up will say anything, then someone else will stop wearing it... boom domino effect. I’ve seen this happen 3 times, and it makes me so so happy
Here in Greece it's tricky. There's an on-the-spot 300 Euro fine for anyone caught not wearing a mask "properly". I don't wear a mask round the village but in town, where there's a chance of meeting a cop, I wear a homemade mask made from breathable open-cell black foam and mosquito mesh. It looks the biz but does nothing except to keep flies out.
yup pretty much. Workers were going out of their way to be nice to me, almost to say "please, keep doing it and tell more people to." Maybe 1/100 people don't wear a mask at the Kroger. And I live in commie state of Michigan.
i saw about a dozen other maskless people at kroger in ohio yesterday. i even talked to an old indian man about rothschilds and khazarians for an hour cause he noticed i didnt have one on
Exactly. Ive said this from the beginning, no one is doing the workers or businesses a fucking favor or being fucking polite by wearing a fucking mask. Do the humane thing and stand the fuck up for your fellow man and stop doing what the child rapists tell you to do.
Good for you! I experienced the same fear when I went to Walmart. I only saw two other people who were without a mask but no one said anything to me. It was my first time so I was a bundle of nerves. It's crazy isn't it, I mean, to act normal and feel afraid for acting normal.
I was really scared too, though I had gone into that store once before with no mask, but I was with my mother at the time who WAS wearing a mask, so I wasn't as scared because I wasn't alone, but this time I was. I really worried I would be labeled as the next "anti-mask Karen" and be all over social media, but if anyone took my photo I never saw it. Hopefully no one did.
But yes, it's crazy that we feel scared just going about with our God-given faces like it's a crime. That's what over a year of this social-engineering has done to us. If it makes US jittery, imagine what it's done to actually mentally unstable (read: leftist) people who think they're going to die if someone breathes on them?
Every time I'm in a store I always see 2-3 people not wearing a mask at all, and a LOT of people wearing it below their nose or even on their chin. I'm not confrontational enough to go mask-less but I started wearing it below my nose.
As I was walking toward a grocery store, I passed someone with her mask still on at the car, but she had cut out a mouth hole. I chuckled.
I went to this Mexican store last weekend, as my local grocery store was out of sirloins. Anyways, they had me wear a mask, so I put it around my ears, and had it on my chin the whole time. What are they gonna do? Strap it over my face? I badly wanted that steak, or else I woulda left ??
It’s a start, next wear it under your chin, then next time let it hang from one ear, next go maskless. I understand it’s harder to go “cold Turkey” maskless in some states than it is in others, so do it at your own pace. Who knows you might start a trend.
Go about your business and smile. If you encounter a Karen say you’re looking for the masks ?
My Karens try to give me masks.
Good for you. Keep doing it.
I just love reading stories like this. Stay strong folks!
Me too, that's why I wanted to post mine as well. Whenever I next go to Walmart (probably this weekend) I'll be sure to post my experience there as well. Let's hope for the best. Pray for me!
I smile at everyone, people are so desperate for kindness right now
When God is with you who can stand against you? Dont be scared, be bold. Be strong. Understand exactly why you arent wearing the mask so when you are asked you have a reasonable clear answer. Mine is simply "Free men dont ask permission" and walk away.
I stopped giving a fuck about wearing a mask altogether. Even if they have signs up, I ignore them and no one says shit. I'm almost a full month in Gov Abbott lifting the mandate and no one has done a thing. Even when I went to the hospital on Tuesday (brother shot me with a BB gun on accident), not a single member of the staff gave a shit.
I am happy to hear you had a good experience with shopping while not wearing a mask. This is my experience as well, although I am a tall man and people tell me they find me intimidating before they get to know me. Maybe that's why I never hear anything. However I will occasionally pass by two or more people who are shopping together and will hear them say things to each other like "Are we allowed to come in here without masks now?" I just hope that I am able to convince others they dont have to wear a mask by being confident about not wearing one.
Go you!!! I always go unmasked besides to the thrift store and post office. I just don’t make eye contact with anyone because then they would have to get my attention which I try to ignore because I just start spouting the data at them and react emotionally
CONGRATULATIONS, WAY TO GO PATRIOT!! That is EXACTLY how you do it, walk in, hold your head high, show confidence and go about your business. I go into a local convenience store near the Minneapolis airport every morning for coffee, I've had police, high-way patrol officers in line with me, NOBODY has ever said a word. Every once in a while a construction worker will pop in without one but the majority of MINNESOTA LIBERALS are too lost in their blueness and scared shitless, they'll be wearing their masks for a long time.
Ah a fellow Minnesotan! Glad to hear not all of Minneapolis is completely lost, though I bet with Chauvin going to be acquitted (most probably), it will be nothing but ashes soon. Stay safe during that time, pede.
There will be no outcome from the Chauvin trial that will satisfy the radicals here in Minneapolis. You watch, as soon as this case goes to the jury, the out of town instigators will be flying in. Just like last summer. The only question is will our governor Kim Jong Walz crack down sooner... Lord knows that Man Baby Mayor Frey isn’t going to do anything.
No, Walz will do nothing, even if the capitol building in St. Paul is set on fire. I bet even if it's set on fire the media won't cover it, or will say it's "justice" or "retribution" or a "peaceful protest" and won't call it an insurrection even though they're destroying our literal capitol. So, around $500 million in damages occurred last year from the Minneapolis riots, and insurance couldn't cover even 25% of that. I know, I work in insurance, and they were scrambling to fix things, but in the end they couldn't. This time, it will be another $500 million + an extra $300 million for good measure. There will be literally nothing left. I wouldn't be surprised if they burned down the Twins stadium. I bet if they did, THEN most people would finally take notice and beg them to stop. Sports seems the only important thing to most idiots.
I didn't wear a mask at a home depot today, I got bothered several low level employee's. One of them began yelling "SIR" at me across the room like a jackass. The more he yelled SIR the more less likely I was to put on my mask, I just kept walking.
Too afraid to leave his counter, and come talk to me face to face. I just ignored him, and he shutup on his own. then I finished my shopping used the self checkout and left.
No regular visitor to this site should be wearing a mask in a grocery store outside of NY NJ and CA.
Same experience at Kroger’s.
It's really nice to read more and more of these. I've been maskless for months and have had to endure dirty looks and being treated like a leper, pulling their children close as I walked by. I knew there would come a day when more and more people would wake up and join me in chucking the mask. My 97 year old mother in love's weekend caregiver was so surprised at Easter brunch when I told her it was ok not to wear a mask, that she didn't HAVE to. The next day I got a text from her, "Wow! I went to Kroger and Walgreens today without a mask! It was so liberating!" Welcome to the land of common sense!
I envy you more than you know.
my stupid anxiety had me so dizzy the 1st time i did no mask. hahaha. what a weird world....i went from anxious to wearing something so stupid to anxious about being "the one" not doing it! i smile when anybody does a double take. had someone shake their head at me in the store today. i smiled. had another masked pregnant lady at the park move her kid from my 2 YEAR OLD and say out loud it was bc he wasn't masked to her kid. hah!!!! it is hot here and they were running on a playground in the sun. wtf lady. stupid ass. i smiled even bigger and then i knew why she was such a smug bitch when i had made a small talk comment to her earlier.
I'm so happy that you did that and at the same time so sad that normal, honest people are in leg shaking fear about not wearing a mask.
Forgiveness of what they've done to us will be a challenge when this is over.
You got that right. I'm horrified that I was scared because that means the social engineering worked on me too! But more so that I was scared of being attacked by a Karen, those are the worst.
Good for you!! Never fear a confrontation about blatantly anti-human practices. Those that have a “problem” with you not wearing a mask are a weak, feckless bunch. They’re actually incensed you’re not compliant ninnies like them.
I always say to anyone I see without a mask on in public, when appropriate, that it’s nice to see a fellow human face again. Every time they’re initially perplexed but then you can see it clicks in their mind what I meant.
Hopefully it reinforces their strength to go anywhere they want without one on in the future. I’ve also had some really human conversations from these interactions. It can be chicken soup for the soul I tell ya!
Also if anyone does give you shit, tell them to sit and rotate and continue about your business because, as I said before, they’re weak compliant ninnies.
That’s awesome, congratulations! I don’t think you’ll have any problems at Walmart either, especially if you’ve seen others there without one already. What state do you live in? I’m in S. Alabama, I don’t wear one anywhere, no one says anything, everyone is nice to me like they normally are, probably a good thing because I’m vocal and don’t mind speaking my mind, hubby isn’t always thrilled with this but oh well, at times it works to his benefit, lol.
The point you made ...
is Exactly why the dems don’t want us maskless! Why they don’t want us to interact with each other or to get back to normal. They don’t want us to connect with each or like each other, they want us Divided. They think they can control us better if we aren’t sure what others think & if we are afraid to go against their new norm, will we be ostracized fo it. But more and more people who are brave enough to leave the mask off and go places without it, the more others see and become brave enough to do the same thing. Before you know it no one will be wearing them regardless of mandates.
I'm a native Minnesotan, but all my shopping is done in Wisconsin. Wisconsin at this point is getting more based and will probably lift the mask ban before MN. I'm betting MN will be one of the last to do so, along with CA and NY. Socialist commies and migrants have taken over Minneapolis and St. Paul and run the whole state. Those of us in the rural regions have no say in anything and our votes don't even matter anymore. It's a sad state of affairs. I'll be so happy when Omar gets arrested and taken away in cuffs.
Have been doing that throughout the Midwest, Southwest and Southeastern States. Some get a panicky look on their face and turn around. Most are unconcerned.
I believe that most people know their masks are worthless but, they wear them in fear of a backlash if they don't.
The only masks that provide adequate protection are valid N95 masks and higher. Only the most immunologically challenged, or those with predisposing comordities need N95 masks outside their home.
it depends on your definition of "adequate". An N95 still allows a lot of virions to pass. Will they be sufficient to cause infection? I keep reading that "one virion isn't enough". OK, so give me a number. Ten? A hundred? A million? Do you know how many corona virions will fit on the tip of a very pointy needle? (Spoiler: millions.)
Also, N95 masks - IF they protect anyone - only protect the wearer. They have one or more exhaust valves that let the breath escape unhindered. If you are ever confronted by someone wearing a mask with an obvious one-way valve, feel free to call them selfish. "That valve in your mask lets you breathe out your unfiltered air that's full of germs!"
If they persist, try "if you are so afraid, why aren't you protecting your eyes? You DO know that the virus gets in through your eyes?"
God Bless you for your courage and triumph!!
Where
Can't give precise location but this was in Wisconsin. Not commie Madison or Milwaukee or Chicago suburbs, further out than that, but still in a big city that has a few antifa and blm floating around, I've seen them once in a while, but thankfully no riots or damages happened last year (wonder about this year after Chauvin's acquitted?). Since the city has a couple colleges there are more than a few queerdo's.
I haven’t worn a mask in WM in 6 months. I don’t even think about it. Honestly, I don’t wear a mask ANYWHERE, except the dentist because they make me.
Granted, I’m in Texas. Our “mandate” was lifted in March, but there seems to be just as many still wearing them. Never been confronted - but I also have a “I give zero fucks” attitude. I am pleasant with the employees and they are pleasant with me.
Had to run to WM today and my husband was with me. As we were walking out, he said that we were the only ones in there without a mask. I simply did not even notice.
If you are ever confronted by a Karen, simply ask them if their mask protects you or them. If they say “you”, thank them and move on. If they say “them”, then tell they should be fine. Either way, they can’t win the argument.
That's a good point about the Karens, I'll remember that, thank you!
It depends what state your in.
I mean I get yelled At by people in prospect park in brooklyn NY I don’t really care tho let them yell
I see these people running over 100 feet away from others masked out of the wazoo I think they are crazed honestly I have hilarious pictures but I don’t know how to upload them
Would you download an app or use a website to find out what local businesses' mask policies are, if they are actively enforcing them, etc?
The strategy in the biggest grocery chain in Texas: Me: Not wear mask Door Greater: "Hey -- do you have a mask?" Me: "Yes" and I just keep walking...
They never say put it on, they just pretend they caught you doing something wrong, and hope you will strap that face bra on out of guilt.
Good form you. I have still never worm a mask shopping. I live in chicago and am fighting for everyone. Please everyone just drop the mask!
Free at last! Congratulations for being brave and achieving a milestone victory for yourself and others. This is the way.
Has anyone gone maskless in a store and put people in their place on video? That would be awesome to watch!
