I was a FireFox user until a couple months ago when it had some woke bullshit appear as a pop-up on everyone's homepage. I decided to go with Dissenter after that, but in recent days I've become very skeptical of Gab, and by extension of Dissenter. There's just so much conflicting information out there, I could really use some recommendations/general advice on the topic. Anyone have any input?

You might look into Brave as your browser with Duck Duck Go as the search engine
I use Brave, Duckduckgo and a VPN
Brave. It pays you to use it.
Yep, I'm up to a little over $500 in my wallet now.
Brave, but I have one computer with chrome because some websites don't work quite right for signin verification stuff on brave. 95% brave though.
Brave browser!
+1 on brave browser. The worst detail about it appears to be the "chromium" back bone, that people dislike mainly because it encourages Google's aims for the future of the internet.
Using Brave, not real happy with it but it works fairly well. Duckduckgo and a VPN.
Brave does a LOT of shilling but it works, mostly, been some funny things lately but it's gonna get worse.

I as well have Brave as my browser with Duck Duck Go as my search engine. I use Ecosia as search engine to and bounce back n forth!
I am using Dissenter an Linux. Your OS is also very important, do not use Windows or Mac OS. Brave should be fine, too. FF and Chromium (not Chrome) should also be OK with addons like uBlock Origin.
I use Brave, DuckDuckGo and a vpn.
I use Brave and DuckDuckGo.
Brave
Firefox Developers Edition on my Mac
Chrome on my laptop
I was flip flopping between Chrome and Edge for convenience for a while. Tried various others once I got tired of supporting these commies by using their browsers. Use brave now. Basically Chrome with a built in ad blocker and none of the background crap that constantly slows down your computer. You can get a VPN service with them too if you want to consolidate everything. If you want some other alternative just for a back up, I'd recommend Opera since it has a built in VPN.
opera is chinese owned, is it not?

Waterfox is my browser of choice
Waterfox, it's OG and real.
Brave, Duck, VPN
I use Dissenter from gab
Great post ???
All of these are windows based.
If your on Linux try librefox.
You cannot enjoy truly free software on a OS that spy’s in your every move.
Brave runs on Linux
Doesn’t it also show its own ads?
Ads are opt-in only. Advertisers pay you to see their ads as opposed to 100% profit going straight to Brave like how all other ad tech works. Brave’s logo is a Lion to represent you getting the “lions share” of all ad spend, which is 70% of the cut.
any browser I use hosts file blocking https://www.github.developerdan.com/hosts/
