I just received notice that our old church is meeting in person for the first time in 14 months, masks required. Too bad. We joined a new church that's been open for in-person services since the original lockdown. No masks required.

Any Church who is given over to State demand over fellowship and learning of God is no Church of God, but a Church of the State. Such places should be shunned into oblivion as they are manipulators and heretical to the Word.
Matthew 7:16, Fren.
No matter the label or what "side" it is, spreading fear borne of ignorance is no excuse for anyone, let alone a Church of God. Worse if the one spreading fear is a knowing conspirator in the lies.
Russian Orthodox here, American who was already Russian Orthodox then moved to Russia just before the scamdemic.
There is a church in our town that miraculously stayed open throughout everything, mask free in the height of the lockdown. Needless to say that is now our home parish. The priest of the smaller parish we had been attending advised us to go there even after his parish reopened, because he had to require masks. But he had told us immediately when the news of the pandemic emerged that it was merely a provocation.
Just before all of this, in colder weather my teenage son had accidentally entered a third church with his mouth covered with winter gear and one of the old ladies scolded him, explaining that it was absolutely against ancient Church canons to cover one’s mouth in the temple! We have stuck with her advice. :-)
To each his own. Not everyone is looking for a church that puts God before country. Now let us all kneel and pray to Saint Floyd.
Abandon your false temples of God if; they are pro-abortion, pro-mask, pro-lockdown, pro-vaccine passport or pro-woke. Christ is above the sewer politics of man and had no mask when he blessed the lepers.
I find meeting with similar minded people out in the fresh air and sunshine is the best church of all, because "if 2 or 3 are gathered in My Name, I am there"...
LOL
Agnostic - taoist - buddhist person. I feel like the only non christian here sometimes
I'm a Buddhist. Our center locked down but has started having in person classes again. It has challenged our faith a bit seeing so many spiritual friends falling for the liberal BS, but we just hope the great awakening will happen soon!
Coptic Orthodox here, and our parishes vary from locked down to masked. It's unfortunate because I believe they are following this out of fear that if they do not they could be deported. Egypt is very hostile (their home country) and the persecution is greater than being forced to wear a mask or shut down the church for a little while. I do know in Canada that some of the priests still hold Liturgy in secret even though much of it is closed down.
I grew up in church but I don't attend now but I do have a relationship with the Lord.
This is where we got to with our old evangelical church. New pastor 4 years ago literally hurled the church to the left so much so we left angry every week. We knew we needed to leave.
If God didn't want you in a Church He wouldn't have sent the Bridegroom who established the Church. Consider this that maybe you are not in the Church right now but following schismatics or heretics and this is why you come out angry. God is showing you that isn't the right place.
I don't think that's what Sophia meant. Try rereading the post.
I don't know what "church" your going to but in the Church women are free to speak. We just do not have priestesses which historical are those who worship idols. But we have many female saints, such as the Theotokos.
I would start going to church if I could find a pastor with enough balls to discuss politics, scamdemic, Q etc.

:)
My new pastor speaks of 2A, masking, illegitimate POTATUS and is a man of God. I left my previous church of 6 years due to it being closed down and then having outside services in the spring. I went one last time about a month and a half ago....still with masks, social isolation, roped off pews, having people leave via the back door. Mmmmm, not for me. They can keep their communist compliance and fear.
It's not the same as meeting in-person, but Pastor Greg Locke on telegram is absolutely based. Lin Wood links to his pastor/church through his telegram, too.
I did the same thing, it felt so good to be around other Christians singing, shaking hands and smiling.
Same here, although I was already wanting to leave over theological differences, then locking down multiple times and pushing masks/distancing helped us make that decision.
Methodist?
Foursquare gospel…my wife is Pentecostal, I am not, I’ve really been diving into reformed theology lately so I finally put my foot down and said we’re going to a church that’s more theologically sound.
try a tradional catholic church which holds the latin mass you may be surprised very conservative and the mass is so beautiful
I could never be catholic ? I do enjoy visiting orthodox churches every now and then.
Id leave too.
Our church NEVER shut down. Our church NEVER required masks. Our church is NOT a 501c3, either. And we gained a huge number of new members this past year! The church is overflowing.
Same here, but I did it last year around thanksgiving. my old church still locked down
This is the type of church I am looking to join after having strayed. What’s funny is that there seem to be churches everywhere but none of them seem to have read the bible on anything with how okay they are with obvious biblical sins.
They do exist--so very happy to belong to one myself. But they can be hard to find, and the large denominations tend to have the most problems. If you can find a small-to-medium non-denominational church that just studies the Bible and seeks to live it, that's an incredible blessing!
Niiiice! I bet it feels great. My place is pretty based. Not stupid or openly defiant and trying to cause a scene. Just very pro freedom & respectful of individual choices. Also lots of joy and excitement getting people back to services in person. Been going maskless for about 6 months now (Texas).
Sad we have to jailbreak our places of worship
Hmm... my MIL's church is the same. I believe they are just getting around to opening again but I don't know if they have to wear masks.
In NJ there have been NO church services for over a year. Our elderly murdering governor has said no. And the sheep just follow.
This is not true, the Coptic Orthodox Church has been holding services since August at least in NJ. They are on a sign up list but I know St. Minas has been holding services in Homdel (not sure the spelling) my brother attends this parish.
You should be fine, as long as there's no singing..../s
Absolutely. For us it's s one of the things we did to take a stand just like boycotting Coke and certain restaurants and stores. It's sometimes the only voice we have.
We need a site to track and promote patriot businesses.
