Not that I'm defending porn, but if, for example, a woman and man both knowingly and consensually engage in sex on camera for the purpose of selling it to make a profit, what part of that is a crime against humanity?
It's a crime against God. It is also sinful and degenerate to view it.
Why are 90% of porn producers jewish though?
Porn makes you weak and flaccid. It eliminates your will to live and thrive. It destroys families. Porn is absolutely a mechanism to placate you. Why is there so much free porn? Because you are the product.
Spot on. This persistent libertarian idea that "as long as two people consent to (x action), it's perfectly fine" is cancerous. Porn mentally and spiritually damages the people involved and all of those watching. Hurting yourself and others is an affront to God, and also a crime against humanity by hurting millions of people who partake. Let's not even get started on how many children (average of 12 for boys) who have completely had their view of people warped by pornography.
Just because it is voluntary doesn't mean it isn't a crime.
Edit: I always find it funny how conservatives and libertarians will generally agree with me until I bring the topic of porn. Interesting how defensive people get when it comes to watching a bunch of strangers fornicate. Do yourself a favor and watch some videos (plenty on YT) about the dangers of porn.
That figure has been updated to 7 yo for boys and 9 yo for girls. The internet made it younger. Smartphones and zero supervision made it incredibly young.
That's a shame, though I'm not surprised. The inevitable consequence of making porn free and readily available at the click of a button.
Steve Deace once said when you hear a preacher raging against a particular sin, it's the one he's struggling with.
We struggle with porn. I do. I'm one of those people you mentioned who was warped by it at the age of 12. Yet, the love/hate nature of the addiction is hard to break and acknowledge, not to mention the guilt of wanting to use it, the shame of giving in, the understanding that it's bad, yet doing it anyway.
Not everyone can admit that. So we end up turning into Gollum, simultaneously loving and hating the "precious."
Eh my girlfriend and I are long distance. Limited on things. Porn is good for her, and it's best to watch it on a site that will riddle you with viruses if you so much as click on the play button compared to Pornhub.
Once we move in together (after our lives are a bit more together, particularly mine as she is coming to live here) neither of us are going to have time for things like that anyway because we are going to be building a life together and that takes effort and commitment, not to mention it's pretty exhausting to be an adult without much direction.
I think a Middle Eastern Muslim dominated country would be a better fit for you.
No thanks, I prefer Christian countries.
I'm off the belief that the boner should be saved for real life usage. Call me crazy. If you're that bored take a walk.
Man... I wish my sex drive was triggered by boredom...
Yep. It's funny how quickly the Constitution is flushed when religious morality butts its way in. That's why I walked away from Conservatism. While well meaning... Conservatives tend to pick their personal values over Constitutional freedom.
It's legal to drink yourself into a coma and smoke 8 packs of cigs a day, but it doesn't mean there aren't serious consequences. Dopamine is a drug and pornstars are dealers.
I wouldnt argue that it is illegal. Not one bit. Legal and moral dont mean the same thing.
No where in the Constitution does it say you have the right to watch porn.
Funny how you are all about the 1st amendment until Christians start expressing their views of what is moral and what isn't.
Which amendment would porn fall under?
It also can destroy your wealth, just look at OnlyFans.
It also puts you out of fellowship with God, which then puts you out from under the special protection you have when you stay close to him, and prevents you from receiving the blessing you might have received. There are spiritual consequences both for you and your family.
Pretty harsh answer and not what I meant. I wasn't talking about salvation. But you can't be truly saved, still pursue sin, and expect to keep the same level of fellowship as if you are walking faithfully. "Can fresh water and salt water come from the same well?" If you are out of fellowship with God, how can you put on the whole armor of God for your protection from spiritual attack? I will have to think more about how to communicate this better. Thank you for challenging me.
I always felt like anti sex laws were just an antiquated way to control women. If you want to sell your hooch, the law shouldn't get in the way, morals should definitely but not the law.
Those laws are actually meant to control men by turning them into simps and forcing them into relationshits. In today's society, men would be much better off (and less at risk) if they could simply pay for sex as needed and spend the rest of their time focused on themselves and their goals.
Instead, to fulfil their biological urges, men have to waste (I mean "invest") their time and energy which has the net effect of promoting beta qualities and has probably aided the spread of the "nice guy" mentality.
There will always be people that are willing to sell their bodies. We're concerned with the countless victims that did not consent. Which is probably a high percentage.
Consent is key.
That, in and off itself, may not support trafficking. But if it’s distributed through any of the major platforms it supports traffickers’ user numbers and ads.
