It's the greatest tailgating experience of all time! The day itself is part of all the fun. The energy from so many other Trump supporters is amazing! Bring some cash to buy some souvenirs. As others mentioned, bring water. Maybe pack a couple energy bars. Something you can eat if you need a boost.
Send my Love to President Trump when you get there. Tell him we all miss him very badly and are holding our breath for his return. Thanks, God bless and have a safe trip.
I went the the one in Melbourne, FL and we got there about 4 hours prior. The lines will be Yuge so bring water or snacks just in case. I didn't and regretted it.
Jealous, have fun. It's obvious but also stay aware of your surroundings. DS could use it as an opportunity but I imagine security will be very tight.
Be interesting if you can see any difference in who might be providing plain clothes security; USSS or if they are military in civilian clothes or if Trump has hired a private security firm. I think I could tell between Military and USSS but not so sure on private.
Wish I could say I've been to one. I can only guess as to how early you should arrive. 2 hours? Depends on venue and number of entry points. Probably best to leave your Glock at home! KEK
we sat in line for 9 hours in 10 degree weather in a parking ramp to see Trump. Worth every second of wait.
When the line started moving I ran back to the car with all of folding chairs, blankets and vapes :) those are not allowed in the rally at all so if you vape, do not try to bring them in.
For a 2016 rally, I left 1.5 hours early for a rally that was a 15 minute drive away. I made it inside with less than 5 minutes to spare. The atmosphere was absolutely exhilarating. There were a couple of Hillary supporters outside with signs. I said to one of them, "You know she doesn't even LIKE her supporters, right?" They looked at me (somewhat sadly), shrugged, and said, "Yeah, but there's no one else to vote for." Gotta say they looked defeated.
Also check out available parking in the area. You might not get close parking and could wind up leaving late if you do. As a backup, locate other parking areas where you might have to walk around a mile to get to the event. I haven’t been to the Lorain County fairgrounds in 40+ years. I am going up this weekend to check out the grounds and try to mark on my Google map different routes in, in town parking and different routes out. Wellington is not a big town.
Based on the rallies I attended last year, I would be lined up at 6am...it will be a long, exhausting day, and don't go with a grand plan...every one I attended was different as far as parking, bussing to the venue, chaotic line changes, etc. Just be prepared for anything and everything, especially spending the entire day with a whole lot of PATRIOTS!
Yes - you'll definitely want to pack food/drink, but it will have to be disposed of prior to going through security. We brought cheap bag chairs to sit in and those had to be left outside security as well, but you're among Trump supporters, so they'll be right where you left them when you come out ;-)
Make sure you have sunblock and/or umbrella for the sun, and that'll work the same as your chair - HAVE A BLAST!!!
Heck yeah!! Get there early is all I can say.
I am thinking of going too! This would be my first Trump rally.

Most importantly, have a blast!

The earlier the better.
Are there metal detectors usually? I very recently got metal implants in my foot.
Jealous!! I think this one is going to be HUGE. Everyone wants to go from all over the state. Every group I am in is talking about going.
Arrive 17 hours early.

Do they allow small backpacks or fanny packs for drinks and snacks?

Thanks for the info fren!
Nope, not even if you’re a diabetic. Went to the Bemidji one. We walked back to the parking lot. Bus company was very overwhelmed.
tyvm!
NoNameJames - are there metal detectors too?
Thank you. I’m just a little concerned cuz I very recently got 2 titanium foot implants. Certainly don’t wanna be turned away after all that. Yikes.
Thank you so much! This is great to know.
I went to the one El Paso and I got there @10am and there was already about 1000 people waiting before I got there
Leave now...
