In the Update in the article it is stated that McAffees Instagram has been deleted. It is unclear who has done it, IG or people with access to the account.
Now this is interesting, as it raises more questions on what this is about.

The embeded code is typical for photo uploads, could be a trap.
That code is Facebook Metadata. It means nothing.
It wasn't added. Verification was added 8/2018 and his account was verified by 2/2019.

I went to his Instagram page 30 min after the post was up and the check mark was not there. it was there hours later when I went back to check the page before it was taken down.

This is just the beginning. He aledgedly had a ton of info on a lot of deep State actors. I have yet to see a dead man switch actually work but if someone could successfully pull it off its him. Guess like with everything else we'll wait and see.

No, Its the one of a couple of young kids in a condo I think. A very nice gold looking area they were in. It came out shortly after he died. There was nothing gore about it, but the kids were dressed strangley and seemed to appear to be slaves.

Saying that, I still lean heavily into that if anyone could set up a deadmans switch with failsafes, it would most definitely be John Mcafee. Hell, he could set up a fake death with the resources he had. Unfortunately, only time will show what comes out in the shake.

The file is so small, though, not much room for a message? 5,992 bytes. Tried pushing the contrast and brightness to max and I don't see any random pixels, there's artifacting around the letter but that's probably normal.

Also worth to mention that he's not some random dude on the internet, he's probably extremely aware of the security issues so he probably picked a strong password for his account, not something like john123. So I absolutely refuse to believe that someone "hacked" his password.
