I've lived most of my life in Florida and have lived through many, many hurricanes. From Andrew to Wilma and all of them in-between. After the storm passes the news starts airing pictures of destroyed buildings non-stop for a week or two.
This is very different and strange. The media isn't even cutting away from their non-stop coverage of Covid to take a second to show what happened in New Orleans. I've seen some images, but from what my friends who live near there are saying is that it's wide spread flooding, many many buildings destroyed, and endless looting near the cities - but the MSM isn't sharing that.
My company has an office just outside New Orleans and we've been told it was totally flattened and they don't even have an estimate of when power will be on or when it will be fixed. A local employee went to check on it this morning and he couldn't even get close with his Jeep, he tried walking but the road was flooded and impassible.
The only stories I'm hearing about this all are interviews with the hospital where they ask nurses if they're prepared for an influx of wounded with the hospital at full capacity from Covid.
Can't let anything out that will make sleepy look bad.
Joe Biden doesn’t care about black people.
Joe Biden doesn’t care about people. fixed ;)
It is bad but then again the local residents learned from Katrina that you can't rely on FEMA and the government for help.
And we know that at full capacity for covid is base by the amount of beds they reserved for the covid patients
They are not sharing because the current response to it plus Afghanistan would cause even the most asleep person to ask for his head
I was just lamenting over this with my husband. A couple of years ago it would have been nonstop coverage.
Been thinking the same. Worst hurricane since Katrina, maybe worse, and crickets.... I say maybe worse, because we just don't know.
My boyfriend rode it out and have some friends still there. The main transmission unit that powers all of New Orleans fell into the river. That’s why they think there isn’t going to be power for three weeks. The levees held, which is amazing. There is some flooding but it happened more on the Laplace area and some areas that typically flood. Something like 32 barges got loose and that created a ton of damage along the river. Grand isle, which is the are people were most concerned about, had a fly over (can’t get to them right now) and people had their thumbs up. The looting did start but that’s expected. Lots of roofs (hospitals, news stations, etc) flew off. Right now, everyone is figuring out damage mode. If interested, you can stream wwol radio or wdsu live.
EDIT: it was actually the power lines not the transmitter that fell in the river. This is much better news!
The MSM would make Christ's Second Coming take a backseat to Covid. The MSM has decided it to be the worst pandemic the world has ever seen. Those that believe the nonsense are the most brainwashed in human history.
There was a hurricane?
One of the deaths dude got killed by gator All items from Walmart now on ebay
And gator broke a tooth on flatscreen
Holy shit that is Louisiana as fuck.
Outstanding.
Katrina was better large orange Tupperware dumpsters floating the sheboons to safety
Dem mayor
Dem governor
Dem President
They’ll do anything they can to limit the bad optics. Knowing New Orleans pretty well myself, I can’t imagine what that city will be like after weeks without power. Hell, it’s a step above lord of the flies on a good day.
Streets are cleaner now, though. Should last for a month or so before "that" smell comes back.
Power is out in Houma for 6 weeks. New Orleans I think they are saying a month.
Imagine all the money residents will save not having to run air conditioning
Citizen journalists persist and endure. Report the TRUTH. Show US!
Individuals should be recording and posting up all over Instagram Facebook and other social media outlets. That’s how the news gets out. But I haven’t seen anything, not even on here. We the people
It was never even trending on Twitter
I’m not saying that what you’re saying is not correct, it’s just that people that live in that area I need to speak up, they need to post their videos, they need to show the looting, they need to show the flooding. Until they do nobody will know. You are correct the MSM is evil
They can’t. The main transmitter that basically sends power to all of New Orleans fell in the river. Cellphone towers are down everywhere. Texts are spotty and phone calls drop immediately.
Ohhhh well at least once The transponders are repaired, or people or an area where their cell phones work, they’ll have those videos on their phones and they can post them up. Right? Eventually we will see what’s going on, if the people in the area want us to. If people are leaving the area, because it’s unlivable, they should have videos on their phone and should be posting them up elsewhere when their phones are working. I’ll be waiting I want to see what’s happening !
I was mistaken about the transmitter, it just came out that it was all of the wires, which is much easier to fix! My friend said grand isle looks like a bomb went off. I guess they don’t want to distract from whatever their agenda is!
They must know something behind the scenes about the audits coming out because they’re trying everything to keep people in perpetual trauma so they can’t focus on the one thing that’s going to count the most. And yes I do believe that they will come out, and it will be shocking. We know everyone spending on it. Everyone the right, the left, the media, all of them. We caught them all
From your lips to gods ears!
I guess the weather channel got the memo to skip their annual fake-a-thon of reporters in mortal danger?
Looks like it is starting to trickle out. Island buried under three feet of sand and completely uninhabitable.

Grand Isle is beautiful but literally surrounded by water. Most of the houses are second homes or “camps” (they can be huge). It’s a fisherman’s oasis. We all know the risk of living in paradise and we rebuild!
Because Biden is resident in chief , and they can't show his inaction
Where do you live in FL? I'm in Volusia County. If you're local, we can use your help fighting the School Board.
Since I don't watch any news any longer I wouldn't even know. ... but then again
They have an agenda to keep up on COVID and to make Biden look good.
