Same here at Ft. Knox. A lot of people don't know but Ft. Knox is US Army Human Resource central. HR command, Recruiting command, Cadet command, Army Reserve Careers Division (retention), lots of smaller others too. Those are staffed with lots and lots of Civilians. Yes there are a lot of soldiers, but to the Army's credit, many years ago they figured out that for continuity and knowledge/expertise purposes, retired service members make awesome civilian support (civil service AND contractors) AND they don't move every 3 fucking years. Guess who ain't getting that fucking jab .... half of those guys. They already been pumped full of immunizations and bullshit while in uniform. I did a straw poll yesterday. 50-60% UNVAXT. Good bye support functions. Good bye.
and all the maintainers, builders, tradesmen, and people that actually do hands-on work, those are the same that don't want the vax. they are cutting their own throat.
Good to see others in this area. I called BS on those numbers immediately. We just had an all hands yesterday with around 1000 people where they addressed how they would handle weekly testing and all that for unvaxxed...If you had Vax rates that were sufficient you wouldn't even mention stuff like that. Of course they threw out a recent example of someone's 25 year old dying of the coof (no additional details so no clue if it was actually covid or maybe ventilator related) but yes you are right this area would grind to a halt and every company in town would be staring at economic disaster
I’m with you in Bama! Not getting it, nor is my immediate family. Talked to my NG son yesterday and he told me not to worry that he won’t take the vaxx nor the flu shots. I know he’s told me a few times already but they way he told me yesterday really made me believe he isn’t just telling mom what she wants to hear. Thank you Lord for hearing my prayers! None of our kids or our grandkids will get the vaxx or flu shots. Do you know how relieved this mom is? Proud of my kids to have their own minds & to stand up for what is right, and tell others who disagree to go suck an egg.
We’ve all had the virus and all made it through just fine without going to the doctor. Well my husband had to get tested when he got sick to take off from work while he was sick, but the doc didn’t give him anything to help him or give any advice except to take the vaxx, hubby was like “why would I take the vaxx? I now have antibodies.” Doc had nothing else to say.
I hated this state with a passion when my fam moved here from TX. It took me turning 16 and moving out to California to realize how wrong I was. Fuck California, Alabama is my home. I still love and miss Texas but Alabama has so much to offer and a very low COL.
Yeah when we first moved to Bama 15 yrs ago, we were not happy. But after a year or two we grew to love it here. Not happy with our current governor (Memaw) but hoping to get a good one next election time. It’s now getting pretty crowded here in our area.
The Rocket city was getting pelted with propaganda for weeks. Hopefully that eases back some with AL signing on to sue the Biden admin.
I don’t think this area will be too happy if 30% (I suspect way more) of the workforce is fired. But I do know that 30% is screaming “Lettttssss Goooooo weeeeeeee”. Ungovernable. 🙌🙌
