I moved here in 09 from the east coast as well. And while my area in NorCal isn't like SF or LA and its a very red county the effects of living in this state are plain to see. Homeless everywhere, tweakers everywhere, gang graffiti, cops that can't do their jobs because the laws here protect criminals.
