A pilot came on here recently to announce he would be doing a sickout over Thanksgiving. Not sure if that was American Thanksgiving or Canadian Thanksgiving. I don't even know what a Thanksgiving is.
That's the opportune time to really bring the pain.. hoping the rest of his colleagues are like-minded. The ATC guy said that pilots would also be stepping up, bless em!
I posted here earlier regarding my experience at the Nashville airport yesterday. Massive lines at the Southwest bag check counter. I asked about the lines when I got to the counter and was told that the reason is "not enough flights" due to flight crew shortage. I guessed it was because of their jab mandate announcement and that was confirmed. Notice in the OP link that nearly all of the flights were Southwest.
Flew Nashville to lax and back earlier this week. Delays both ways, long lines, a previously unannounced layover in Oakland that took 2 hours. All southwest
This account of a pilot suffering vax injury is over on p.w.. spinal inflammation sounds about as bad as it gets without crossing over into a fatality.
Oh boy. My friend is in from Florida.
Maybe wont be going back so soon.
I finally found a job w a trucking company.
So far they seem solid.
Not one word about jabs nor masks seen.
Truckers need to do some protests as well.
Just hope I dont get sick before I can get some ivermectin in house.
I rarely watch local news anymore, but this was mentioned yesterday as there were lots of delays yesterday. They didn't say it was because of a walkout though. Seems to be resolved today.

Yes!!!! No flights for Thanksgiving and Christmas?! Oh, MAN!!! That would be beautimus to behold, wouldn't it?
Ehhh they’ll just bring in more “certified” afghan pilots from overseas to help out

Longweeked national holiday that is usually the busiest travel time of the year.
and so it begins........fight on patriots now they will see what the power of we the people hold...........
People are enraged and fighting back!!!! God Bless America!!! Land of the free, home of the brave!!!!!!!
I would gladly miss my flight to support them.
God Bless Florida
People need to make plans to drive over the Holidays.
Already cancelled our flights and driving to NC to see family for Christmas.
I used to travel quite a bit. Until things get sorted out, I’m driving everywhere and never more than a days drive from home base. Not worth the risk.
Seeing some people say the same thing is happening with the Memphis airport—can anyone confirm?
I dont know why this hasnt happened already. We should all be taking every friday / fill_in_the_day_here off
It starts with one company the rest will join. Somebody always has to go first. Good for all of them. We the people have the power.
Good FUCK NORMIES. Make their lives hell.
Unbelievabley based

According to flight aware all airports are operating normally.

You're confusing delays with flight cancellations. Lots of cancelled flights won't cause delays. And there are many cancellations.
36 Southwest cancellations at BWI today (that's not normal):

Media blackout on it.
And in any forums or discussions (off GA.w) that I’ve seen are saying it’s because people are sick/weather/any excuse except as a stand against Vaxxxx
this is just the start to keep people from fleeing the country to avoid arrest. I suspect this will go National this week.
Oh yeah -- hadn't thought of that but I hope so.
Memphis still has flights inbound. Using app Flight24. Free app to see aircraft flight data all over the world.
LOL they are trying to say it is happening because people are going early to get the Jab. What a bunch of liars
Here in central Fl... Not a con-trail in sight.
TheStormIsHere
Flight board for Orlando shows flights arriving tho...
Not sure what is real... But FAA is saying the "staffing shortage" at JAX ATC are not covid vax mandate related.
And they would never lie 😉
One airport or multiple?
