One of my collateral duties in the Navy was as a Brig Chaser. Each command is responsible for transporting their own people to and from the Brig and any official military proceedings, including Courts Martial. I've NEBER heard of this. Usually in a Court Martial, the only people present are the JAG or Military approved Civilian lawyers, the Judge, any witnesses to be called, the accused, a Command Rep, MP's/SP's, and the court reporter and that's it. It's not like in the movies where there's a packed courtroom, like in "A Few Good Men." In the cases of the accused terrorists and 9/11 conspirators, there will MOST DEFINITELY be highly classified info presented on both sides. ANYONE AND EVERYONE cleared to be in those courtroom proceedings WILL DEFINITELY be required to 1) have AT LEAST a SECRET CLEARANCE, 2) be approved by JAG AND the Judge, and also be cleared by DoD thru the "need to know" clause, and 3) be required to sign a Page "_" entry in their Service Record stating that everything said, discussed, and shown in those proceedings will stay "in house," meaning gag orders against talking to the media or anyone outside those proceedings.
Unless things have changed since I got out in '04, which I'm not aware of, this text is bogus.
So, I can promise you that the text isn’t bogus. It really happened. And it was really from an actual human who I’ve known for several years. But, it definitely struck me as odd, and I want sure what to make of it.
I didn’t want to post on here for fear of being totally yelled at. Lol. But. Honestly—I’m as real as they come. And so is this guy—my friend. I truly don’t know what the hell to think about it.

If you posted in the day, you'd have a better mix. It seems too good to be true, like a larp, at first glance. But hopefully it's not. There isn't much to do with it though, it's hearsay corroborating evidence that is unverifiable unless you dox your friend, which you shouldn't do anyway. But if true it's awesome. All the BS aside, I wouldn't know what to think of it. If true (which is a stretch) it would seem like a trap to me. Outsiders do not get invited to this stuff, family or not. On the flip side I would at minimum have my atty draft some shit that would make sure I got home in one piece, just for the chance of seeing some DS scum squirm in front of the tribunals. Actually, I would pay for base transit to and from for that shit as collateral, and I think any other decent Patriot would as well.
I have never heard of this but I have heard of being able to have guests to that area. I had a friend do some contract work and his dad was allowed to visit.
Not sure why she would be able to bring 4 people and it smells like bs at first glance but who knows. Shit can get weird with VIPs and special instances. At certain levels it's much more vague on what they allow so if this person is some big shot then maybe they could bring guests but it isn't a normal casual thing and is not anything like movies.
I have no links but if I remember correctly Catherine Harritige and yes I know I butchered her name but anyways I am pretty sure she had a story or a tweet about them expanding gitmo to add courtrooms for 911 trials.
