When I was a kid, we got a shot for smallpox. It left a mark on our upper arm. My own kids (now adults) never had that shot. I asked the Dr. about that one time, and his reply was they don't give those anymore because it's been eradicated in the United States/Western World. Now, the DS are bringing it back is seems.
