Considering this judge should have ended the trial well before now and directed a verdict, considering this judge did nothing substantial regarding the intimidation of jurors, considering the only living individual shot by Kyle is for whatever reason not charged with at least aggravated assault at most attempted murder, I don't buy a fucking lick of it.
These prosecutors should be immediately disbarred, and then charged right after.
Regardless of verdict this is the justice system pissing in the face of everyone one of us and even more so poor Kyle. Bless that kid.
Haven't even gotten to the gross abuse of power by the fbi.
The Judge in this case seems to be playing an exposure role. I would not be surprised if he's letting this happen so the Prosecutors hang themselves...
I truly believe the only reason the judge hasn't stopped it is he wants it to play out and he wants to see what the jury does say. If they convict Kyle then I think this judge might actually override them. I think the judges end goal is for there to be prejudice given to whatever verdict is assigned so they can't retry Kyle and make his life even more hell. In other words he's allowing the short term pain to play out now for a few weeks to remove all threats in the future.
It just looks better if he allows the prosecution to put up their very best case. Then no one can say he made up his mind too quickly etc etc. I think its just a bonus he gets to expose the prosecutors. Or something close to this... the judge definitely seems to see through the BS.
Not a likely motive when he sends the jury out beyond hearing when he rakes the prosecution over the coals. I agree with Darwyn. He is letting the prosecution make its whole case so there will be little basis for an appeal of a directed acquittal.
Serious question, why should the prosecutors be disbarred? I have a law degree, but I work in supply chain, and I watched this very carefully, and I saw no disbarr-worthy actions. I'm wondering what your take is ?
You probably have more expertise than I but when you unnecessarily waste how many resources to pursue a political conviction should we encourage this behavior? When you actively try to convict an innocent American and defend a city of rioting, violent criminals?
No, regardless of current law you should not be allowed to practice and at the least should be held accountable for the gross misconduct.
My opinion. I'm curious to hear what your take is though as somebody who has studied the field professionally.
I agree with you, but law is about law and not feelings or opinions. You saying, "actively try to convict an innocent American and defend a city of rioting, violent criminals," is an opinion and emotion and has nothing to do with the law.
He's the prosecutor. It's his job to secure a conviction no matter what his, or the citizens, opinion on the matter is. On the flip side, even Jeffrey Epstein had a defense attorney - one who got quite famous later - and even the greatest Americans on trial have prosecutors.
You are saying it's misconduct, but it's literally a function of the legal system. If there were military tribunals tomorrow for Obama and Hillary, they would both have defense teams. Should those defendants be disbarred for acting as a function of the legal system just because they are defending known criminals? It goes both ways.
Saying he should be disbarred is like saying a butcher should be fired for selling steaks. It's part of the job.
These aren't defense lawyers though, and the evidence is cut and clear that Kyle committed no crime. These are state prosecutors and they aren't actually prosecuting ANY of the real crimes committed through these riots but yet are trying hang Kyle.
This is state sanctioned persecution and it's disgusting.
So after hearing your explanation, I agree that no matter the crime everyone deserves representation to defend themselves but I'm not on the same page this is part of the job. They have obviously discarded any objectivity to abuse their power here, not even remotely similar to a defense attorney representing a defendant.

Agreed. And he'll write a book.
Unlike most book deals, people will actually buy it.
I'll buy the heck out of that book!
Wish I could upvote your comment as many times as Georgia ran the fake ballots through their machine . . .
Kek! 😂 Underrated comment! I only regret I have but one humble updoot to give thee!
LOL. You would be upvoting for months. Great comment.

I hope so and certainly don't discount that,

I looked up that judges history, he has never once overridden a jury in his entire career.
Never too late to start now
The whole system is corrupt, I hope you are right.
I would think if the judge doesn't turn the prosecutor over to the state bar (at some point) that the judge himself would be looking at discipline.
Can’t believe he let them get away with leading the witness when cross examining Kyle
He wants to show the jury who he's rooting for so he won't have to direct a verdict.

Well said.
I just wanna shake his hand and take him for a beer.
First round on me!
He shot a felon armed with a gun he should not have had. How the fuck is Kyle on trial and his assailant is not? Beyond the pale.
Perfectly stated!! Agree 100%! But it was awesome watching that DA get his ass handed to him on live t.v.
I hope Kyle sues them all, including the judge, into oblivion
