You need to go down the Laurel Canyon rabbit hole. Frank Zappa and Jim Morrison were both deep state connected. There was nothing grass roots about the Hippie Movement. It was created by the CIA out of Laurel Canyon.

Jim Morrison was not deep state connected. Dogsoldier2, I believe we have been down this road before. I've read at this link before and there's manyassumptions and falsehoods made and reported as fact. For one, Jim Morrison did not die of a heroin overdose. This a concocted lie to defame Morrison's fame.
It's hard to come to terms with the fact that people we looked up to weren't who we thought they were. I'm probably much older than you. I was 11 years old when I watched Ruby shoot Oswald in the Dallas PD garage live on TV. I did my tours in SEA just as my dad did his in Korea. So a lot of those I once thought were good people turned out to be "not so good", to put it mildly. But once you turn loose of the brainwashing by realizing you have been lied to then you can start to dig up the evil all around you.
You say you've read that article but have you actually dug into LC or did you just stop at that one article due to confirmation bias. There is little doubt that Morrison, Zappa and Crosby, to name a few, were controlled at best or eager participants at worst in a CIA social engineering program. All that said, whatever works for you. We can agree to disagree.

I visited Morrison's grave at Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris. It was cleaned up when I saw it and wasn't like the trashed out photos that you see everywhere. It's surprisingly hard to find. It's tucked behind some bigger tombs in an out-of-the-way spot. You could go right past it and not even know it was there, unless you're specifically looking for it.
Morrison was buried immediately and without an autopsy. This violated French law. After Ray Manzarek and the remaining Doors members visited Morrison's grave site, Ray commented they were all mystified how Morrison's body could be buried in such a small grave. They surmised his body had to be buried vertically, but this is contrary to long standing French law. John Densmore commented that it felt like Morrison's spirit was not there. The real story behind Jim Morrison 's untimely death has more to do with the MOSSAD and other Intel agencies and his father's patriotism for speaking out and criticizing the culprits who the attacked the USS liberty.
Now that you mention it, it was small. I never really gave it a thought -- I just assumed that what was above-ground was no reflection on what was underground. The site, like I mentioned, seemed almost like an afterthought. It was just sort of wedged into its surroundings -- nothing like what you'd expect for someone famous. It's basically hidden behind larger crypts. You have to go to an effort to find it. I walked around the general area for awhile before I found it, as I never imagined it would be so out of the way.
I saw Edith Piaf's grave - the famous French singer -- and she has a large above-ground stone, rectangular, box-like crypt big enough to fit a coffin inside. She's easy to find and in a well-travelled area of the Pere Lachaise cemetery. It's a complete contrast to Morrison's grave.
If you've never been there, Pere Lachaise is like a city for the dead. There are little streets and boulevards that you wander through. There's really no rhyme or reason to any of it. There are large crypts, above-ground burial sites, and everything in between. Rumor has it that if you know the right crypts to go to, they lead down into the catacombs.
And the created Charles Manson horror show finished the hippie dream!

I dig this, but one question - are they seriously alleging that “all the Hollywood studios combined” haven’t made more than 19,000 pictures? Somebody clue me in on what I’m missing here. Do they just mean classified films in particular?
No, “during its lifetime” from roughly 1941 until it closed in 1963 the studio made 19,000 films.
It’s believed that there is over a million films in existence throughout the 100+ years that Hollywood has made movies. But not all were theatrically released, so the number drops to somewhere in the 500/600K range. Modern movie making has sped up the amount of movies that are made each year, anywhere from 300 to 800 not including made for TV or streaming only movies.
There is a transition happening now that has less theatrical releases and more direct to streaming that will further skew any reasonable calculation of how many are considered “Hollywood” movies.

When I was there it was the rehab..180 center. The people who died, died of drugs, alcohol, and perhaps some negligence on the part of those running it.
