Homeschool used to seem like a bad idea but it’s seeming more and more reasonable every day. There’s a kid at my gym who is homeschooled and he gets to train at lunch time every day. And he’s on a wrestling team still with his local high school so he’s not a complete social outcast weirdo.
I'm amazed at how many people who are aware of how incompetent and destructive the government is still send their children off to government schools to be indoctrinated by leftists. It's just sad that people who are otherwise diligent about keeping the government out of their lives will send the most precious things in their lives to be overseen by that same government.
Asked a local teacher if enrollment was down and she replied with the number of students she has. I asked again, if that number represented a decrease in her class. “Yes”, she said. And then she looked at the floor. Government education is dying.
