The Twitter poster makes a correction and says it's Germany, but this is a longer video (YouTube) that claims it's in Vienna, in Heldenplatz (which it indeed looks like), and there are a lot of Austrian flags.
I was at this protest in Austria (not Australia, lol) and there were clear rules. Masks had to be worn or the protest would not be allowed, which is when the police will be allowed to whatever means required to disperse the crowd.
Also, there were maybe a dozen police officers from the "Freedom party" union of police officers who were there to "protest". I think it may very well have been a ploy to keep people calm.
I don't understand protests with rules. I was shocked to hear that in France during the big Yellow Vest protests with exploding cars and people looting jewelry stores, Macron threatened to revoke their protest permit.
Who the fuck cares about a permit at a time like that?

Ya'll are allowed to protest masks but only if you are wearing them. Do you have to get a permit to protest against government tyranny? Pay a fee to freely assemble?
If they stand with the people they wouldn't be marching they would be arresting and having trials for crimes against humanity.
Marching and holding signs won't do anything. They will keep pushing until you're locked up, vaccinated or dead. We have to actually arrest and stop them. Not negotiate or reason. They need to be removed like a cancer.
When they quit in disgust en masse, then maybe we could give them respect. Police cling to their dictatorial roots; they don't want to throw away their brown shirts.
I predict the Australian Parliament will hang in the square where they rejoice.
