It's like they're trying to kill people inconspicuously...

Canola oil (3rd ingredient) is one of the worst "foods" you can put in your body. Most seed oils (usually called "vegetable oils") are bad for you, and they're everywhere.
What would you recommend as an alternative?
This is from Food: What the heck should I eat? by Mark Hyman, MD. -- Pp 169 -170 in the hardback edition [minor edits for clarity, and bold added by me]
FATS AND OILS: What to eat
Use these (below) raw, on salads or other foods, but don't cook them:

Have you ever heard of camelina oil? What do you think of it? It has the highest diverse Omega content, I hear, and has a higher burn temp than any other oil. I wonder why it wasn't mentioned if it wasn't by him in the book.
I've not heard of camelina oil.
I don't cook much and didn't really have any interest in food oils until three or four years ago when my cardiologist wanted to do some unpleasant sounding invasive procedures. Instead, I got serious about my diet and supplements, which lead me to cut out most vegetable oils from my diet, among other things. That's when I found that canola and other less-than-healthy oils are damn near everywhere in processed foods. Canola oil is cheap, so it's one of the most common. In my favorite local health food store, several of the organic mayo brands have canola oil as the number 1 or number 2 ingredient.
My cardio problems went away -- big change, actually -- and cutting the vegetable oils was, I believe, the biggest factor in that.
what about olive oil? always been told its good for you no?
Yes, organic, extra virgin olive oil is generally considered good for you (although some say it's "neutral", others think it's exceptionally health-promoting . . . there's no 100% consensus on this or on most things) but don't cook with it; see the list in my earlier comment for what Mark Hyman, MD has to say about various oils.
Lard. And I mean that seriously.
My good friend always saves her bacon grease to cook with. Best damn meals, naturally flavored to boot!
That's quite the claim with absolutely no reasoning at all behind it.

You'll find different opinions on canola oil when do to a search, and right now my internet is slow enough that I'm not going to do more searching -- I'd generally prefer to post some actual studies -- but you won't find any shortage of reasons to stay away from this oil if you look.
Thanks, I appreciate it, sorry to be harsh but I just like the basis to at least be somewhat summarized so I know whether it worth looking into or not.
No worries, fren.
Most vegetable oils are highly processed from GMO, Roundup saturated crops - either corn or seeds. They are high in Omega 6 fatty acids that are funneled into the inflammation pathways. They are not heart healthy as the establishment, driven by Big Agriculture, tries to tell everyone. It is a lie. There is a difference between healthy fats and unhealthy ones - and they are not the fats the propagandists have been telling the public that they are. The average American diet is heavily tilted towards Omega 6 fatty acids that promote disease instead of healthier Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 9, like in olive oil, is neutral. All fats are not created equal and @Narg is correct in what they post.
What the heck is 'natural flavor' comprised of? If it's the natural flavor of beef, would it not come from ....beef?
Guess I'll go do a search on this compelling ingredient.
Whenever you see natural flavor on a label, it is a red flag for the catch all category where some of the really nasty chemicals can be found that are not in a large enough quantity to make it as a separate ingredient. "Spices" is another such category. What exactly is being categorized as a spice? These are categories that food manufacturers are able to hide different forms of MSG that they use as flavor enhancers - without them, no one wants to eat the stuff. Processed foods can hide several different forms of these brain toxic compounds in one product by different names. Unless a consumer is educated in the different names that these chemicals are listed as, they are none the wiser.
Thank you for the most honest answer I've read yet. Even most of the search results that slam natural ingred point out that it 'originates from nature'. The FDA really doesn't give a shit, do they.
You are welcome. I have spent decades researching what goes into the body that is labeled as food. I not have had to educate myself for my own health, but that of my patients as well. They are trying to kill us by a thousand paper cuts. It is all accumulative for the purpose of weakening us so that we are unable to survive and thrive. Most Americans do not realize how compromised their health really is. The people orchestrating of all this are truly evil.
I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today. for those of you old enough to remember.
A little TOO complicated to replicate that recipe just to make a fake meat patty that can be passed off as "vegan" to the public
Gross!!!!
But that Expeller-Pressed Canola Oil makes all the difference. Fucking faggots.
For the ingredients, you can check out SauceStash on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gppR6ZKsKeY
Basically it takes a lot of little ingredients to take something plant-based and make it taste and have the texture of meat.
Something comes to mind when I see natural flavoring, that shit Pepsi was using
Hmmm. Missing an ingredient maybe? Why are all beyond beef factories curiously located close to planned parenthood kill shops? Makes you wonder....
What is the “natural flavor”? I am afraid to ask, for fear of the answer I will get.
Don’t eat it. Watch Fall Cabal on Bitchute. Watch all episodes plus the sequels. https://www.bitchute.com/video/AzA7jFKbW53g/
Which ingredient is supposedly harmful in this list?
Water - not harmful
Pea Protein Isolate - not harmful
Expeller-Pressed Canola Oil - not harmful
Refined Coconut Oil - not harmful
Cellulose from Bamboo - not harmful
Methylcellulose - not harmful
Potato Starch - not harmful
Natural Flavor - probably not harmful
Maltodextrin - not harmful
Yeast Extract - not harmful
Salt - not harmful (debate me)
Sunflower Oil - not harmful
Vegetable Glycerin - not harmful
Dried Yeast - not harmful
Gum Arabic - not harmful
Citrus Extract - not harmful
Ascorbic Acid - not harmful
Beet Juice Extract - not harmful (unless you're prone to kidney stones)
Acetic Acid - not harmful
Succinic Acid - not harmful
Modified Food Starch - not harmful
Annatto - not harmful (a spice in case you were wondering)
So... which one are they trying to kill us with? Or are you against multiple ingredients in a recipe?
Not harmful according to who? The FDA? Let's just take the top of the list and look at a couple of the items that you claim are not harmful. This will not be exhaustive and if after a couple of items the point is not made, I can't help you.
Canola oil is very bad for the body. It is not heart healthy and it helps drive inflammatory processes in the body. It is made from GMO pesticide saturated rapeseed that is highly processed and contaminated with solvents as are most of the so called vegetable oils. Natural Flavor - what exactly is that? Usually a catch all category with many artificial ingredients such as MSG type flavor enhancers. Yeast extract - another name for MSG. In case you did not know, MSG and other compounds like it, are extremely neurotoxic. By the way, Glutamate compounds are also used in vaccines as an adjuvant because of their immune stimulating effects on the brain - they cause brain inflammation to illicit a response. Sunflower oil - like the canola oil, very bad for the body because it is high is Omega 6 fatty acids that drive inflammation in the body and compete with the more healthy Omega 3 fatty acids. Annatto has been linked to hyperactivity in children. Etc, etc, etc. As far as what is on a label that appears to be natural, it depends on the source. In the end, those ingredients are not as "natural" as they may sound at first. That is a deception by the industry. Food ingredients that fall under the classification of GRAS are from a voluntary system that verifies food safely and is at the manufacturer's discretion.
Manufacturers are not in the habit of putting high quality ingredients in their products. And, if you think the FDA can be trusted to oversee our food safety, than you have not been paying attention to the vaxxine and drug safety issues. This has been going on for a very long time. Most companies use the cheapest, most contaminated, nastiest stuff they can find to make a buck while the FDA looks the other way. The bottom line is that if you want to go ahead and eat that man made, highly processed crap, be my guest. But, do not claim that the ingredients are not harmful - because they are. I have done my homework professionally in this area for many years. As for me, give me real meat from a grass fed, humanely raised animal that is organic.
So you and op think they're trying to kill us with fake meat because it contains canola oil, flavor enhancers, and msg?
Are all restaurants and food producers trying to kill us now by using all of these things in everything because they are cheap? Are all of foods that naturally contain msg, like most seafood, chicken, eggs, and many fruits and vegetables like tomatoes and broccoli going to kill us? Is yeast leavened bread designed to kill us?
I don't get it. There's many reasons to not eat fake meat but this list of ingredients is absolutely ordinary.
Btw, any mono-sodium in excess is bad unless you are ingesting a base to balance the free sodium.
Why did you conveniently ignore the fact that a very large portion of natural foods, including meats, vegetables and fruits, naturally contain significant amounts of various forms of glutamate?
Because absolutely nothing you said, no matter how lengthy or tangential it is, holds any weight at all when you understand this. In fact, it comes across as ignorant and disingenuous since I brought it up and you just blatantly ignore it and go off on your notion anyways.
Are you going to argue that the added MSG in formulated foods to mimic the levels found in natural foods was made synthetically and therefore harmful compared to natural MSG, while ignoring that the MSG used in the food industry is produced naturally?
You also keep calling it toxic but offer no summarized pharmacology or interactions whatsoever. Claims require basis, and I seriously question why you even believe what you do when you refuse to address points that completely contradict a notion you continue to double down on.
I can rest easy in the fact that you were warned. How you take the information I share and what you do with it is entirely up to you.
“So, the moral to the story my fren is to question everything.”
“Unless you question me, then I’ll just demean and belittle you without addressing any concern.”
Wow, what a painfully retarded and ignorant response. So much for trying to have a discussion here...
Your point is what? If it's shit, let's find a different recipe. Too many people don't want to witness how they get their beef.
Purchased a 1/4 cow a few months ago. Grass fed/grass finished. It’s exquisite.
Don’t eat it. Watch Fall Cabal on Bitchute.
